"This is an older hotel, but the location to downtown is excellent. There was some remodeling and updates going on at the front desk and entry area. The breakfast area was also being remodeled so we had breakfast in a temporary room (however, it worked great). The breakfast staff was amazing. Everything was filled and there was a good variety of breakfast items. The rooms were a little outdated, but like I mentioned earlier, this is an older hotel. I can there are updates being made. We were happy with the location and felt safe in the area. We would stay at the Residence Inn in Pittsburgh again if we were back visiting this area."

"Location great, staff very friendly & lobby very clean. Our room on 19th floor had to have been a smoking room at some point so that smell just is awful - stale."
