"It is difficult to walk around the estate because there are very few trails or sidewalks. The restaurant at The Inn was excellent for dinner but unable to handle the Sunday morning crowd. The room was nicely redone but quite pricy for an OK but not a Wow! "

"Sadly we were only there for 1 night. We wish our trip was for a couple so we could have enjoyed more of Bryson City and the Calhoun’s hotel. So very quaint! Lovely big porch with rocking chairs. The morning we checked out it was raining. So we sat on the porch drinking coffee and listening to the rain. "

"Spaciousness and view the best things. Amenities were VERY limited, and when some yahoo rode by oou patio on some kind of ATV for an unexplainable reason at 8AM the morning after we arrived- that woke us up. 'Popcorn and a movie' the following night was equally disappointing. Yes, the movie played, but no popcorn offered, and the latte machine near that area didn't work. Staff was friendly and as accomodating as they could be, but this place is still a work in progress."

"The staff was very informed friendly and accommodating. Esp Nicole and Garett plus Maddie called me and helped me make reservations at the Oaks Restaurant. The AC.in the rooms is drafty when you’re in the bed. The North upstairs hallway was an icebox the entire weekend. Very quiet serene setting in the lake. We recommend it!"
