"Booked ahead to make sure we would be in one of the vintage cabins, not the main lodge itself (so I can't speak to those rooms.) The cabin had vintage charm but all the amenities including a comfortable bed, ceiling fan, mini fridge, coffee maker, etc. Location just steps from the canyon rim and shuttle stops can't be beat. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking can be a bit hit or miss but one can usually find something, plus there is temporary parking right in front of the main building for check in/check out. One tip: if you want to see the history room in the main building, do be aware it has limited hours, so check those first so you don't miss it like we did."

"The location is good. You can easily walk to restaurants and pubs. We stayed in the motel side and it really needs updating. It’s comfortable enough but the shower/bathroom is not great. Also this property does not offer a breakfast-only coffee and tea. The coffee in the lobby is really weak and not worth the walk down to get a cup."

"It was very clean and welcoming. The staff was very pleasant and very accommodating. The breakfast was not offered on the days we were there - Monday and Tuesday- because it was not the high season. The location was excellent - so close to the park entrance we were able to visit often."

"Incredibile experience on the South Rim, literally steps away. Truly magical - great beds and linens. The bathroom is a little short on counter space but a miniscule sacrifice to have the location. We were fortunate to have a first floor room because I had sprained my ankle two days before, but even so the first level has step ups at different sections, so if you need ADA accommodations, be sure to specify at booking and call to confirm a day or two prior to arrival."
