"Really great place to stay inside the national park. Compared to the Holiday Inn Express and a few other similar basic hotels waaay outside the park entrance, the price was reasonable. Our room was a double queen with a generous kitchenette: large microwave, medium fridge/freezer, small stove top. Equipped with plates, bowls, glasses, flatware & cooking utensils, and towels. Even a tiny thing of dishwasher liquid! We also enjoyed the little terrace as it was lovely temps during our stay.(Our building was "Trilobite").
The entire property & room was exceptionally clean-- very important to me. The decor was "natl park chic," ala 1960s, but it worked. Very conveniently located to the actual Canyon and shuttle buses--less than 5 min walk. Also has a large cafeteria with variety of food choices, all of which were pretty good.
Staff were also fantastic‐-with the one exception of the woman at the cash register at the village market. Oh well.
Strongly recommend!!"
"The property was new and very clean. I had concern with the Bkfst Buffet. The gentleman who greeted everyone and took payment for the meal was very loud and repetitive. The food was generally cold and eggs where very dry.."
"Excellent property and location. Very close to Grand Canyon park. Very nice area. We stayed in the motel and had excellent experience.
Hoping to be back."
"Very basic cabin with no air conditioning and quite cramped. Certainly not worth the money.. i know inside grand canyon park so walkable to canyon rim but better iption would be jist staying outside the park"
Holiday Inn Resort The Squire at Grand Canyon by IHG
6/10 Okay
"Property was large and had lots of amenities. Pools were freezing. Both indoor and outdoor room was poorly vacuumed. I was looking at fingernails from the previous guest between the bed and the nightstand .alarms woke us up on Sunday morning. Nothing was comped for that inconvenience other than thanks for your patience Bowling alley wasn’t working. restaurant staff were very friendly and nice, but the food definitely needs to be updated. Beautiful location and conveniently located to the entrance to the national park. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very inconvenient and wasn’t designed properly."
"Basically, with the north rim lodge burned out, this your only hotel choice. It was a solid place, with helpful staff, but things could get very slow in the restaurant. Maybe they are understaffed for current conditions. "
