"This has been an amazing experience, from exceptional staff meeting us, then arranging to hold our luggage till the room opened (we arrived very early from a flight). Then the staff matched our first day room, with our tour group next 3 days, to allow us to stay in the same room. Both restaurant and breakfast are exceptional, with great staff. Good and drink 5 of 5 stars. Overall, the hotel is a masterpiece! And our partial ocean view small suite is wonderful, with good view of city and ocean."
"I booked 3 rooms in the same category and price point, 2 rooms were what we were expecting and my room was about half the size of the other two rooms. It stunk like an ashtray and when we went to use the shower, it didn't drain and flooded the bathroom. We were told that the maintenance person had left for the day. (It was around 6pm) There was no follow up, no offer for a different room. Just had to stay in a room that smelled like cigarettes and had an unusable shower. Terrible."
Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel - A Leading Hotel of the World
6/10 Okay
"Daily breakfast was wonderful.
For the amount that we paid, service was subpar. In Italy, for this caliber of hotel, the staff all knew our names and greeted us daily by name.
Here, they were often unable to get our breakfast order correct.. the all you can eat buffet saved it though, excellently prepared food with lots of fruits and fruit drinks.
Gym was mediocre, but with the proximity to the promenade it was ok, since we were able to run 5-10k daily outside anyway.
All in all, the hotel would be better priced at 300-600$/night max! Not worth over 1k/night, decently not worth the 2k+/night price we paid!"
"My reservation was initially mixed up, and another guest was checked into the room I had booked, however, the staff resolved the issue quickly and provided me with a similar room. All the staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and kind throughout my stay. The hotel was easily located near the airport, safe, clean and well‑maintained, with beautiful beach views. I also appreciated the easy access to the beach and public transportation, and the fact that it’s within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Overall, a fun, pleasant and convenient stay."
"Clean and rooms are comfortable and good size.
Morning check out could do with more then one member
Breakfast good
Had to wait 40 minutes for dinner seating.
Food lovely"
"It was a nice location. I had a rooftop pool, which was great and the beach was right in the front. It had the tram right behind the hotel that you could take it right into the city and right to the airport."
"The choices at the breakfast were already very limited but at 8:40am even all the cheese and fruit was gone! Asked the staff and they said that an earlier group had taken it all. Here's a free tip to the hotel staff: don't let earlier guests wipe out the breakfast buffet, reserve some for the later guests. Also the dinner didn't look great, it's worth going to the restaurant at the Radisson instead. A tip to other travellers walking from the airport terminal 1 (which is very close): don't believe Google Maps if it tells you to make a big loop. Walk up to the main road and turn right, passing just in front of the Sheraton. Room was comfortable."
