It's clear they're trying to improve the property. The staff were nice. Room was spacious. Only complaint was certain areas of the room were pretty dirty. No bugs or anything but much room to improve on cleaning.

There isn't a full kitchen there was a refrigerator. Which was beneficial for me packing and preserving my insulin. The front desk charges you if you come to check in early. That's the first hotel I've ever experienced that at. I just lost a family member I only needed to change my clothes. There was no sympathetic response in any regard. I am from Virginia. But I live in Florida now every time I've come home to visit I stayed at that hotel which used to be called mulberry inn. I had better service when it was nearby ran down then I did this time. Sad. Overall the hotel is nice it's in a decent location.

Good Stay with Great Value! I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn & Suites in Newport News and had a generally positive experience. The stay was good. JAMEL at the front desk was attentive to our needs, and exercised a strong commitment to meeting and satisfing customers needs. THANK you Jamel! Overall the property is nice, easy- fast - access to Busch Gardens (about 10 miles) -appearing to be partially complete in a apparant rennovation upgrade, with options like the game room currently to be filled, and no pool yet available. Summary - good for a clean no thrills value stay, with potential. Thank You!
