We book a room and sit on the bed and sink almost to the floor. Beds sheet couldn't sleep on them, hole & stain on sheets. Attendance lask of customer service. Ask for better sheet with out stain or possible body's fluid still received bad sheet. And act like it the norm.

This no frills motel was clean & extremely affordable. They didn't offer any of the luxe extras but it was very clean & the property well kept. It was everything we needed & enjoyed it immensely. Cheap rates & clean is all we needed. We definitely recommend staying here. The manager was really nice & friendly

My room was clean and it’s close by to a lot of attractions. I didn’t like that they tried to give me a smoking room when I booked nonsmoking, but mistakes happen and they were quick to fix it without issue.

All transactions were done through a sliding glass with plexiglass barrier. Attendant was absolutely dry and non welcoming. Door card quit working on day 1. The ac unit in the room smelled of marijuana when turned on. Bed spread looked as if a bullet had been shot throughout at one point, washed and put back on bed. I assumed it’d be at least a 3 star due to area but this place is an easy 1 star motel.

Subject: Formal Complaint and Demand for Immediate Full Refund Dear Management, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding my recent stay at your property, which was wholly unacceptable and failed to meet basic hospitality and safety standards. Due to the severity of the issues experienced, I am requesting an immediate full refund to my original form of payment. Upon check-in, I was assigned a room that was visibly dirty and unsanitary. The comforter was soiled, the air conditioning unit was filthy, and parts of the door were damaged. These conditions raised serious concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest safety. Throughout my stay, my key card repeatedly malfunctioned, requiring multiple trips to the front desk for reactivation. This ongoing issue caused significant inconvenience and reflects poor operational oversight. Most troubling was a severe breach of privacy and safety. A male housekeeper entered my room while I was undressed, despite a clearly displayed “Do Not Disturb” sign and the fact that it was well before checkout time. This incident was distressing, inappropriate, and unacceptable, and it left me feeling unsafe in the room I paid to occupy. Additionally, I received no housekeeping service at any point during my two-night stay. I only remained at the hotel due to lack of immediate transportation and alternative accommodations. Taken together—the unsanitary room conditions, repeated key card failures, lack of housekeeping

Very basic

I have stayed here several times. Seems to be a safe location. Some late night activities in parking lot, but not to much. Rooms always seem clean and pretty basic. This trip remote for tv was not functional. Dont expect any type quality towels, so thin you can see through them. I stay here for the price and location.

This was my second stay at the Newport News Inn and I had another good experience. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, takes a while sometimes at the front dest but service was good. Nothing fancy but great for the price and location near to the Hampton Coliseum. Will stay here again the next time I visit.
