This is a quaint room in like a summer camp cabin. You can’t control your own heating and air conditioning - take note. The rooms were very clean and basic. I would stay again as the grounds are incredible and we had an awesome time outdoors.

Nice room, location was good. Clean, well kept, modern. Priced appropriately. Suggestion- when booking room should make clear that check in is at the Main Lodge, NOT overlook. Main Lodge is about a mile away.

This location and its history made this Inn a great stopover night for us as we travelled down the East Coast. The scenery is beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. This would would be a great place to meet with family members and/or friends to enjoy sharing a cottage (with 6 rooms and a common area) to enjoy a few nights or week together. There is a lot to do in the area and the porch of the cottage lends itself to just sitting and admiring the natural surroundings, especially the lake!

Honest staff. After checking out we realized that a credit card was missing. I called the hotel desk and they had the card found by the housekeeper.

Bear Mountain Inn is a unique and beautiful retreat in the heart of the Hudson Valley. We go for the scenery, hiking, and watching the marine and rail traffic along the Hudson River. Staff is always helpful. We booked 2 nights but could only. stay 1 due to a family emergency and the staff worked with Expedia to refund the 2nd night. Will definitely return as we love the atmosphere. Stayed in 1 of the stone cottages in the woods above the lake. Basic room with a shared common area and outdoor porch/deck. Room had a small refrigerator and TV with local channels. Clean and quiet and what you'd expect in a state or national park setting. Great 1.5 mile paved walking trail below the cottage that circles the picturesque lake on the property grounds. Nice way to start the day.

The biggest issue we had was the supposed accessible Stone Lodge was accessible from the outdoors, but the doorway into the room was not easy for a person in a wheelchair to get into and the bathroom was not accessible at all. On the upside, the room was well kept, heat/ air was good and super quiet. Slept well!

6/10 Okay

We enjoyed the park very much. We also enjoyed the 1915 restaurant; the food is very good, and the service is as well. However, the hotel is not worth the price. To pay 300 dollars for 1 night and have a horrible smell and bad cleanliness.... Not my type of a good time. Hiking Coffe also a good place.👍 Food fresh and good!

Beautiful and relaxing. Something I’d do different next time, I’d definitely stay at the Inn. As a solo female traveler, the Overlook was too secluded - it broke some of the solo traveling rules I’ve set for myself. Also, was a little bummed the next morning. Upon check in I was told about their Fall Foliage Buffet. I opted to do this instead of brunch the next day. Turns out that morning was a Princess Brunch, which canceled out the buffet and I had shown up after brunch hours. But the cafe was open and I was able to get a little something there.

Excellent accommodations and atmosphere. Nature lovers and hikers, come here! Our lodge was cute and clean, with amenities. Free coffee dollars! One recommendation I’d have for the BB Inn might be to improve food quality in the cafe. Restaurant and staff otherwise are excellent.

The beds were comfy! The a/c was great! The view was overgrown and half dead trees. There is NO ELEVATOR! On Sunday, brunch at 1915 restaurant was a Princess Barbie brunch even though it was a big weekend for West Point. I prefer to stay anywhere but Overlook lodge. What a terrible stay! I should have flung my money into the Hudson instead!

We stayed in one of the stone cottages and were given two keys to our room and only one of the two worked. Walls are pretty thin you could hear other people's conversations. The room itself was cozy and clean and has a romantic vibe making it an ideal location for a weekend getaway with your partner.
