The location is terrific for public transit and is also very walkable. ... The hotel itself is an old building, but it has been nicely renovated. My complaint is that the hotel doesn't have coffee or tea available early enough in the morning. It shouldn't be terribly complicated to have coffee available in the lobby at 6 a.m.

It was a lovely hotel with a very cool bar and nice restaurant on the main level. The location was excellent for taking the subway. There are a lot of shops and restaurants close by and you could easily walk to popular attractions like the Empire State Building and Times Square. The staff was very friendly and our room was really nice and clean. I would have liked a towel holder near the shower, also a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room, although the free cup of coffee at the bar each morning was a nice concession. The food was good although the service at the bar in the morning was slow. Overall I would give it 4.5 stars and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a unique property with lots of character. This stay, we were is a room which needed care. When we asked to have our desk lamp fixed, etc. we didn't receive response. Several globe lamps were missing their globes. Otherwise, staff were friendly and engaging. The restaurant and basement club were popular, vibrant, and brought energy to the property. The gym was great and well-maintained.I would return to stay here again. The location is fantastic.

The good: great shower, clean, friendly housekeeping The bad: noisy window air conditioner in room, slightly thuggish vibe of some staff. But the most disappointing thing by far was the $35 a night "resort fee" that was tacked onto the room charge at check-in. If the Expedia booking engine touts "upfront pricing: this is the price you will pay, no hidden fees, including resort fees," don't believe it!

Nice lobby. Great staff. Very helpful. Room small but lovely. Only complaints is that the hotel texted us several times asking what time we were checking in, so they had a window of our arrival but they never turned on the AC. So room was very hot. aC was a window unit so it blasted my son’s bed but our bed remained hot. So it was a warm and sticky night. Would have been nice to have turned on and cooled it off before we got there. Also be warned there were dozens of homeless people hanging out within a block or two of the hotel.

This was definitely a place to leave your stuff and go out. The cleanliness was on the lower end of average, there were a few random short screws on the floor, the AC unit was dusty, and there were some hairs around. I got the cheapest room so it was very tiny and my view was a wall, so the room was pretty dark. The perks were the proximity to penn station and amenities nearby. The bar downstairs was cute.

Das Hotel liegt zwar zentral, ist aber sehr hellhörig. Man konnte jeden Schritt im Flur und die Unterhaltung und nächtliche Aktivität der Zimmernachbarn genausten mithören. Um auf das Zimmer kann man den Aufzug nehmen, der jedoch leider extrem langsam und stickig ist und keine Klima/ Lüftung hat. Es gibt die Möglichkeit kostenlos Wasser aufzufüllen. Das Auffüllen einer kleinen Flasche dauert aber gut 5 Minuten, da das Wasser extrem langsam fließt. Für die zusätzlich anfallende Gebühr von über 20€ PRO TAG!!! im Hotel, hat man nicht einmal jeden Tag frische Handtücher bekommen. Bei der Hitzewelle in Ney York, die wir erwischt haben, waren frische Handtücher definitiv notwendig! Nicht einmal frische Wasserflaschen gab es im Zimmer nach der Reinigung. Insgesamt ein nicht zu empfehlendes Hotel. Lediglich die Lage ist gut.

Bedding was awful. Worst back and neck pain from sleeping there. There’s a bar downstairs that stays open until 1am… we stayed on the second floor and heard the music thumping VERY loud all night.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The room was perfect, bigger than we expected, clean, stylish, and comfortable. We would definitely choose this place again! It was centrally located. We could walk down 5th Ave, to Time Square, Penn Station, and the subway. The staff was kind, reassuring, and made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. Great place to stay!
We had a lot more space for our luggage than expected!
The bathroom was clean and stylish.
Great toiletries too!
