「Howard Johnson goes back a long time. Always like the old world charm of the 50’s and 60’s styling. Only one small quirk was my shower knob did not work and it was broken. Fortunately it was stuck on a reasonable temperature to shower and used it as that. Breakfast was quite meager, very small lounge and limited food choices. But I assume it’s because of the limited space that had there. Overall it was alright and would go there again since my beach location in Clearwater was all but overbooked....

Gotta be careful of pricing, as they are not economical for extended stays. Convenient onsite parking in garage under hotel. Would be a bit tight for F-150 pickup though.....」

However, around 1 AM, I found a cockroach in the kitchen eating my snacks, and then found more cockroaches near the bedroom door, in the bathroom, by the kitchen sink, and in the closet. 「It was a very clean hotel. The rooms are large. There is only one chair in each room which was strange to me since the rooms are so large and I would think it’s common to have 2 people staying in a room. Since we were Expedia customers they were less flexible about a late check out or early check out and our room was just off lobby so was loud at times. They have laundry which is awesome. Overall our stay was pleasant. The manager was very nice.」
