The altitude is over 8000 ft. I did not prepare for that and paid the consequences. Difficulty breathing.tiredness. loss of appetite. Research what you could do to combat altitude sickness before you travel to Cuenca. It is a beautiful city. But the elevation is very high and can be a problem as it was for me.
