This isn’t a high end resort, so don’t expect that. Accommodations are basic, but enough! A couple hours of electricity a day. What you can expect is a lovely beach front view from your bure, wonderful opportunity to snorkel just off the beach (with opportunity to have a guide take you to other areas), as well as other areas a short hike away. You’ll have simple but lovely meals with the other guests, which is such a fun opportunity to meet others from around the world. Be flexible and keep an open mind. Really was one of the highlights of my time in Fiji.

Liked: Staff & service
The staff here are incredible which is what made our experience here so good. George we love you! The sweet woman who works so hard preparing our meals is a gem! The guys who work the activities are so much fun. Papayas and coconuts for days!!!! Snorkeling out front is better than the Great Barrier Reef. The rooms need some work and bug control. Lots of giant cockroach’s and ants in our room and spiders in the shower. Despite the bugs we loved our stay.

Nice stay in Yasawa islands! If you are addicted to snorkelling and you want to relax giving up some unnecessary luxury comfort, this place is perfect for you!
Nice bungalows close to beautiful private beach,
few guests, perfect privacy!
Hand-made food is good and filtered water is available, no need of bottled water.
The beach is very nice and accessible also when tide is low thanks to a small concrete underwater bridge.
Nice opder resort. Dont expect luxury. Cleand nice stagg good food. Good price..

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The individual bures are in decent shape and quite spacious. The staff are nice and do their best, given the circumstances. The food is good for the price. The pool, deck, outdoor bar and huge dining area look to have been abandoned years ago. The flies are thick, to the point of being a big frustration. The beach provides a nice long walk, or you can walk the trail to the homestay on the other side of the island. Emily has a bar with nice cold beer and the beach there has a breeze, so fewer flies.
What a shame… this place may have had an amazing potential. Unfortunately my stay was incredibly disappointing.
The good sides :
- The bures are in good shape and the room is agreable close to the sea hearing the waves
- the food is ok and in big quantities
- The spot is beautiful and the snorkeling is nice
What made me shorten my stay from 5 nights to 2 :
- The lady in charge here was of no help whatsoever, unnice, asking for money ahead of any request
- I had rats or bats fighting in the ceiling of my bure making soooo much noise at night, didnt sleep much, but didn’t get any assistance. I stayed my 2 nights with my family of rats…
- One member of the staff made inappropriate propositions to me on the very first evening. Offered to stay in my room and sleep with me. As a solo traveler this is never reassuring. I would advise solo women to avoid this place by any means. A few other women were here at the same time and felt inappropriate heavy unwelcome flirting.
- They put pictures of the pool on the booking websites but there is no pool. Everything is falling into ruins.
- They charge you for the small boat to pick you up from the ferry but don’t tell you in advance. 30$ for less than 2 minutes of boat seams a bit of a stretch
- Electricity is on only 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours at diner. But in reality they don’t respect the time and it is more like 1.5 hours.
- Finally, this is not the lodge’s fault but the beach is incredibly shallow, you can walk for 15
They offer snorkel with manta ray and charge you before going and when you go the most probable thing is that you don’t see them. Apart from that, they charge you a fee from the ferry to the resort, when in theory with what you pay for the ferry you should be able to arrive to the resort (is how it works with other resorts). Furthermore, the water pressure is practically null and for what you pay for the food the amount given and the diversity is very low.
Nice accommodation for budget travellers. The room was clean and spacious and the „resort“ is slowly being renovated.
You have got an incredibly large reef along the entire beach and can even visit some reef sharks. The hike to Honeymoon Beach takes less than ten minutes.
Staff was friendly and helpful but not as warm-hearted as at other accommodations.
Food was okay as they tried to cook international meals which were not always tasty and portion sizes varied as well. I would have preferred regional cuisine instead of bad pasta “bolognese“ for example. The meal plan is 70 FJD per day.
This lodge is not up front about letting you know there is a hefty mandatory per day food charge. I booked through Expedia expecting just lodging but found out after booking my room and the ferry to take me there that there is a non negotiable $20 tender fee and $80.00 op per night food charge. There is nothing on the Expedia site about this and Expedia was not helpful. Unfortunately I booked 2 days prior to arrival and had a non refundable return ticket via the ferry so could not change. There is limited power, no eSIM data and no wifi so I had to keep the booking. Like other island resorts they really need to state up front, before you book, the full cost of staying there. This is an all inclusive not just a room booking as you are lead to believe in Expedia. Expedia is aware an to date has not updated their site. Just be aware the cost is a lot more than advertised.
