This was our 4th trip to the Rosewood Baha Mar in the last 5 years. The staff has been consistently amazing, and remember us without the aide of CRM. It is the perfect getaway with a flight time from NYC that is manageable, and a proximity to the airport that, all in has us from Newark to poolside in under 3.5 hours. Perfection

Amazing room, great dinners, they nickel and dime you to death. $200-300 daily resort fees. Tip on everything you do required. One weekend of incidentals for 2 people was over $4000. Casino looks great, but odds are not good, and comps nearly non existent.

The Front desk staff and concierge were excellent. . The property is laid out very well, great rooms, great amenties. My son had hurt his back in the Water Park Giant drop ride. We mentioned that when we requested an ice bucket to be brought to his room. That took 2 hours. I went to the front desk and she placed an urgent order for ice. That took 45 min. Unacceptable. Restuarants - drinks came after appetizers were done and almost right with the meal. Very high prices for mediocre food. Pool side service - poor . Almost like they did not care since no tipping was policy. Beach side service was excellent. Felt cheated for such high prices for poor service quality than cheaper "All Inclusive" resorts in Mexico . Expected high end service at a higher end resort. Wanted to mention this so a quick improvement can be made.

Surprised and Disappointed

I don’t normally write reviews but here it goes- I travel almost every week and am top status on 2 airlines and several hotel chains. I’m in the top 1% of travelers in the world. I say this to give perspective. The hotel is not worth the 2/3x price of other resorts in the casino complex. It is way overpriced, they make no attempts to give concessions like early check in or a place to shower and change for an evening flight when checkout is at noon. The spa will not let you shower and change into travel clothes. I had to change in their public bathroom which I wouldn’t have minded if my basic room wasn’t $2000 a night after taxes and the stupid 15% resort fee. I stay at their sister properties in Texas all the time and it is a much better operation. I confronted their manager noting I couldn’t be the only one who has encountered this difficulty. They comped my sedan to the airport. The easy fix is to take one of their spa rooms and keep it open or convert one of the bathrooms/rooms into a changing area. The positives- the rooms are lovely; the ocean view is not superb as the hotel is set way back from the water. The food was good not great, the service was Caribbean standard but the folks are all nice. The beach is nice but if you’re coming to get away from the chaos you’d find at a larger resort, you will be disappointed as the beach can be very crowded/ noisy. The overall decor of the hotel is top notch. Make sure you book reservations for everything well in advance
