「Beautiful grounds, but no restaurant or real hospitality
The grounds are well kept and the pool is beautiful with lush vegetation around it, about 1.2 hours from Quito. That's where the positives end.
There is no functioning restaurant despite what's advertised — we were directed to a roadside eatery up the street with questionable sanitation. "Included" breakfast required scheduling an appointment and lady was not there a worker came out and told us to waited to brew coffee; we skipped it...
「There was plenty of birds and trails.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
The food was unexpectedly great.
The road getting up to the reserve is a little rocky/bumpy but thats literally the only concern everything else was amazing.」
「Las Terrazas is a gem. Staff and services were Top Notch. Spacious rooms are clean and surrounded by lovely gardens. We enjoyed two birding tours with Guides David and Byron as arranged by Las Terrazas. Highly recommend!! The restaurant provides excellent meals as well as quiet ambiance, perfect for conversation. We recommend both Las Terrazas and the birding excursions without hesitation.」
