Stayed twice overnight while flying to and from Suva. The hotel was great and we loved the super comfy big bed. The deluxe room was immaculate with a nice bathroom. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Did not eat or drink at the hotel this trip, but will stay again.

Clean room and some staff are really nice and friendly, others miserable looking particular a few staff at the bar. Very close walking distance to the airport which is amazing. Food needs improvement. Nice facilities but can also improve in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, quite good for an airport hotel and definitely worth coming here if you are connecting to go to one of the islands. Would come here again.

We stayed at Fiji Gateway Hotel for one night before and after our island resort, and it worked well as a short stopover. While it’s not a five-star hotel, the rooms were surprisingly clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The biggest bonus is the location (just a five-minute walk from the airport) making arrivals and departures very easy. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The hotel has two pools: a larger family pool and a smaller, quieter pool, which we preferred. On the downside, the service was inconsistent. Some staff were friendly and welcoming, but many appeared miserable or grumpy, which made the atmosphere feel uninviting. There was also an older white man constantly hovering around the bar (possibly manager!?) who came across as rude, controlling, and equally unhappy. The food and drinks were average at best, including the coffee, and we ended up going to the airport for meals. There is a small gym, but it mainly has upper-body equipment and isn’t very useful for a full workout, especially for women. Overall, it’s a practical and clean airport hotel with great location and pools, but the service, food quality, and facilities could be improved!

- Walkable distance to the airport but better than that free shuttle bus - Restaurant and cafe are just downstair of your room. its so convenient - Staff are lovely and always attentive - Room is quite clean and no bedbug as seen from google bad review tho - All staff is very helpful - Food menus has some local dishes to try and variety of drinks

Being across the road from the airport is a huge advantage but for your first and last night ONLY. The staff seemed unhappy and deflated We stayed two nights when we arrived to do the mud+springs and last day. These were the only 3 days of the holiday that was underwhelming. The spa staff did fit us in for a late massage however wanted cash and said they can't use card nor charge it to the room. We wanted to play tennis and all the racquets had only wooden handles as the grip has totally come off. We thought to try it anyway accepting it won't be great in the hands only to get to the court and the net was broken so there was no point in even getting it. The last day however was extremely disappointing. It was a couple days before their staff party and clearly nobody wanted to be at work at this stage. From the reception to the restaurant to the bar all just standing there and you have to walk to them to get their attention or get out the pool and walk over to the bar where three stood chatting. So don't expect service by the pool. We had little baby cockroaches in the bathroom and a view out the room of a brick wall. Yes we had the cheapest room but really expect at the price of even the cheap rooms for it to be clean and welcoming. We were given a room on the upper level with no assistance with our large bags up the stairs.We ended up asking for help with the one bag and had to wait ages until they sent security to assist. The room was very clean and functional, but with small twin beds and a dated design. It served the purpose as it was an overnight stay pending a transfer to one of the other islands. It was very close to the airport, while a shuttle was provided, it was not necessary and it is about a 200 yard walk.
