"The whole staff greeted me as I arrived to the hotel. My room wan not clean, so they immediately gave me a another room. It is right in front of the beach. The breakfast is fresh and the restaurant food was fresh to order and very delicious. It is a little out from the city but well worth the drive for the cost compared to other resorts in Mwanza."

Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Bismarck Rock during your travels in Mwanza. Wander the marina and parks while you're in the area.
Massive boulders balance impossibly atop each other at Bismarck Rock, where local fishermen navigate Lake Victoria's waters in colorful boats. Snap photos with friendly rock hyraxes at Saanane Island National Park, then visit the vibrant Central Market for fresh produce and handcrafted souvenirs.
The Lake Victoria view from the restaurant deck is so beautiful. The staff is super friendly and nice. I am amazed at how clean the staff keep it. My room was mopped fresh and clean each day. The breakfast was not to my liking. I am not a fan of certain foods which are more popular here. My major complaint was that my bed had an area that was uncomfortable but sleeping at an angle made up for it. Overall, a grand hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with gorgeous landscaping on Lake Victoria. As an American who has traveled to Mwanza 10 times before, this is the only decent place to stay. It’s just 2 miles from the airport. Quiet, huge rooms, great food and a welcome respite from a day of long travel from the States.

New Mwanza Hotel was ideal for my two days stay downtown. It's not overly fancy but rooms are comfortable and clean. Restaurant food was had a good variety with tasty Indian dishes. It was an ideal location in the center of town, but is unfortunately has a dance club on the first floor. I had a room on the second floor by the elevator and the music on Thursday night kept my room vibrating until atleast 5am. They were happy to change my room location the following night, but I would avoid 2nd...
