We paid for a double room with “one queen bed” but received a room with two separated twin beds. There was mold in the shower, roach traps throughout, and it felt dirty. The breakfast was nice though and the staff were friendly. The location was good.

Nice place. As my husband put it 'shabby/chic'. No street parking, so you have to use a garage about an 8 minute walk away. Breakfast was quite good. The only real issue I had was that I booked a double bed and we got 2 singles with a room so tiny, we couldn't move them together. Also, this place is really tough to find!! It is right next to the Birkenstock store, which is a much better landmark to look for.

Location was superb. Couldn’t beat it. Hotel/rooms were very basic and very tired. Well past their prime. We were told we could pay cash at hotel (our Expedia receipt says so) but our card was charged upon arrival. Also charged $20 more then quoted plus a $12 “assessment” fee.

Oktoberfest weekend

Practical location next to the Old town , a couple of minutes from Marienplatz and walking distance (20 -25 min) Theresienwiesen where the Oktoberfest is organized. The location is not a hotel, but as the name says a Pension/Lodge or motel style rather. But it is perfect for a weekend or more if you do need fancy rooms. I had a single room with a comfortable bed and quiet. The breakfast is good in a very cozy space. I would come back. But an important suggestion to the owner is to send the codes for the keys by email, not on a paper in an envelope on the front door in case you come late.

Pretty grotty block of flats turned into rooms, plaster missing from the walls and covered with plastic, a plug in strip light in the bathroom. Parking is 5 mins away in generic garage that's nothing to do with the actual place. Cheap but I would not go back.

Good location but do not recommend

Only thing is working for their place is location. Rest everything is wrong. 1) can’t find with google map. 2) No parking 3) internet is not secure 4) no elevator so get ready to drag your suitcase. 5) everything is old nothing is up to date. 6) receptionist doesn’t speak English and not helpful at all.

Receptionist who checked me in at 6pm said office would be open until 8pm, but at 7:30 when I went to ask a few questions, he was already gone. I had to leave at 6:15 in the morning but there was no option for a take-away breakfast.

This is an older property and while acceptable, certainly not new. The staff was excellent and the room was clean. The bathroom was workable but in need of a renovation. Like many room in Europe, there is no A/C. This would be easier to accept if they would simply provide a fan. The windows did open but overlooked an alley and provided little ventilation. The curtains were NOT adequate to cover all the windows and appeared to be missing a section of curtain. No coffee in the room but available in the reception area.. Overall, a good deal for the money and a clean, safe room.

Room was clean. Nice breakfast. You get what you paid for. Location was great. We arrived around 7pm, the key was left for us taped to the outside door of the building. Would stay again, except for the fact if the same and only key opens the building door for everyone and your room, so it can open any other room. I wouldn't feel safe, if someone stumbles in your room after trip to Hofbräuhaus (only 6 min. walk). Would also recommend adding another set of firm pillows. Thank you!

Katrophaler Check-in

Zimmer ok, einigermassen bequem; vorteilhaft ist die Küchenzeile; Lage gut am Rande der Altstadt / Fussgängerzone; schöne Geschäfte u. Restaurants in der Nähe. Völlig indiskutabel war das Einchecken. Ich musste nach dem Check-in per QR-Code ( nur mithilfe einer netten Mitarbeiterin möglich, da seitens der Betreiberfirma darüber keinerlei Info) ganze 4 Stunden auf den Zugangscode zum Zimmer warten und dies auch nur, weil ich advanzia einschaltete. Kommunikation mit der Wohnungsanbieter-Firma war nicht möglich: die angegebene Tel.-Nr war nach Anwahl sofort besetzt, auf Mails wurde nicht reagiert. Es war eine reine Katastrophe. Ich musste einen verabredeten Termin absagen, da ich nicht ins Zimmer kam. Check-In war für 15 Uhr zugesagt, ich konnte um 19 Uhr ins Zimmer. Wer eine derart unpersönliche Behandlung mag, soll gern diese Wohnung mieten. Anderen wird abgeraten!
