Standard 3-star, no frills hotel. The breakfast was great and the location is awesome. Super walkable to Old Town & the metro is right nearby. If you’re looking for a comfortable place for a short stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

If you can manage with the tiny rooms, tiny elevator, and retro decor, this is a great little hotel in the popular Schwabing area. Public transportation connections are excellent. Service is very attentive, rooms are spick and span clean, and the German breakfast buffet (included!) is fresh with many delicious options.

I was so impressed with how organized and clean everything was in my room. Small but well kept. It's only about 30 minutes on foot to Marienplatz and all the touristy things that make Munich so much fun.

Helpful staff

The beds were too hard and narrow ( two twin beds), and the pillows were too flat and tough. The staff at reception was very accommodating and helpful! They helped us to schedule taxis and to refrigerate a medicine.

We loved the Hotel Hauser. It was so conveniently located to many restaurants as well as being close to the subway. Even though the area around the hotel is very popular, our room was really quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely breakfast, which we enjoyed each morning of our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Hauser is in a great location when visiting Munich. Located on the border of the Maxvorstadt and Schwabing neighborhoods, there are a lot of great cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. within walking distance. It’s also near transit options, very walkable to Alstadt and the main Munich attractions (a pleasant 15 minute walk), as well as the English Garden (10 minute walk). It is a vibrant neighborhood with a lot of college age folks around, so it tends to be louder in the evenings, but not too bad. The rooms are on the small side, but they’re just right if you’re mainly looking for a room to store your bags and sleep. The shower in our room was very tiny, but manageable. We did not have the breakfast buffet, but it looked and smelled good. The staff was helpful and courteous. The only real negative were the pillows. They weren’t soft or firm, and were an odd shape that you could never quite get comfortable with.

Welcoming staff in happy neighborhood

Hotel Hauser is a family-run hotel since 1938. The Entrance & lobby is on the ground floor, Reception & Breakfast on 1st floor with 4 floors of rooms the layout & style is human-scale and warm. Staff is welcoming and breakfast is a tasty variety. Rooms seem to be singles (I had a very nice one) and doubles. Location is in Maxvorstadt just a couple of blocks from the Universitat U, and a friendly neighborhood with shops, bars & grocery stores. I would be delighted to return!

Didnt like the furniture or room layout. We were constantly bashing our shins into the bed, stubbing our toes. It was uncanny how much we kept banging ourselves up in this room.
