「We had a comfortable stay, food ok but nothing special, found the hour slot for breakfast 8.30-9.30am odd, most hotels have better times, especially when you are on holiday you don't want to be looking at your watch all the time, breakfast was buffet cereal, toast, yoghurt and juices, with a cooked breakfast to order, unfortunately a couple of mornings had to ask for bread, bowls, juice as not kept stocked up, only one member of staff serving breakfast. 「I was confused by the reviews on this hotel as they swung from terrible to fantastic. I found the place perfect for my stay, while doing the coast to coast walk. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the bar was good, I didn’t require an evening meal. The room was clean as were the facilities. There is really nothing nearby, (by foot). The building is old and does need a lot of work, but this didn’t affect my stay. The room furniture was also a little ‘tired’, but my...
