The night stand lamps were very dusty and around the Jet tub and the mirrors were not clean as well. I went Walmart and bought cleaning supplies because my husband and I do not do other people's germs. We also did not have no TV and no Internet service after 12am and I was unable to work so I checked out at 8am and went across the because of the weather needed to stay 1additional day.

Absolutely horrible!! The pics on the site are nothing like the actual room. Fixtures were rusted, the room smelled like smoke and pets! This is supposed to be a non smoking facility. They say the WiFi is the phone number but it doesn’t work and they want you to bring your computer to the lobby. Left the site 6am the next morning. After Expedia said I would get a credit for the other 2 nights and now I can’t get my money back!!

I have not had a stay this horrible..ever. The smell. Bugs. People lingering outside. When we got there, the room was dirty and smelled like cat urine. I went to call the front desk, the phone didn't work. I went to walk to the front desk, the hallway was blocked off requiring me to walk through the outdoor construction area. I asked for a full refund because of how dirty it was and that I was planning to stay elsewhere. The front desk worker offered a new room. This one had less of a smell but had multiple bugs, both dead and alive. The floor wasn't even vaccuumed. The sheets smelled like dirty laundry water. When we returned back to the hotel after our event, there was a significant amount of police presence. When we went to check out there was a person sitting in a camping chair in the middle of the only entrance way smoking and ashing her cigarette in the center of the walkway. Trying to walk around that with our suitcase and two children in tow required us to go into high grass with cats and cat houses all along the outside. I would rate this 0 out of 10. Horrible experience and needed to check my luggage ( and children) thoroughly for bugs after.

Im in the proccess of trying to get my money back, our room smelled so bad we could barely breath, thats even after spraying smell good nut it did not work. We were afraid of lead poisoning. No soap, we saw quite a few bugs and roaches that we left soon after checking in and took my chances driving 3 hrs back home dead tired. I gave my air freshner to tje guest behind us because they are going to need it

Worst Night Ever at a Hotel

Over the years, I’ve stayed at countless hotels, but the Red Roof Inn at Mt. Holly stands out as the worst by far. My daughter and I were on a long road trip from New York to Florida and arrived late in the evening—too exhausted to find another place. Otherwise, we absolutely would have. The problems began at check-in, where I was handed three pages of fine-print terms and conditions to sign—something I’ve never encountered before. The room itself was in poor condition: moldy, non-functional ceiling lights, barely any usable outlets, and a bathroom with visible water damage poorly concealed by a sloppy paint job. Basic amenities were lacking. There was no shampoo or conditioner (thankfully, we brought our own), and the soap dispenser mounted to the wall didn’t work at all. But the most unforgettable part? The overwhelming stench—like a hundred wet dogs had just vacated the room.

We arrived, waited at front desk for someone to us in, when no one came I called and let it ring for 2minutes, no one came. We drove 10hrs and were exhausted so we called around and found another place to stay. I want a refund
