We stayed on the bottom floor but got access to two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. It’s an old building so keep that in mind. I enjoyed the charm and reminded me of staying in my first apartment. I would stay there again!

Really nice and cozy. I had read about heat issues but I can confirm that it was nice and warm in my room. Very impressed for the price. I mean if your respectful and are aware of others, kitchen (fully equip) & bathroom are shared not a bad thing if everyone does there share it’s an awesome place to stay. I had no issues and if you need anything you just text admin and they get back to you quickly. Lots of space in your room with a small fridge. No issues what so ever

This is more of an hostel than a typical b&b. It is in a good location, and was adequately clean and comfortable, if very basic. But all communication is via text or email, and the proprietors do not respond quickly. We never met any staff. They are relying on information on their website, but the site is not easy to navigate. The arrival procedure was not explained in advance, and was complicated. We ended up standing outside the building in a cold rain for way too long. The price quoted on Expedia as being all inclusive:$74 per night, did not include everything. The actual price with taxes etc was $90 per night.

A perfectly agreeable stay, but nothing too expcetional. Staff was very helpful, the check-in process was complicated, my room was large enough and I found all the basics I needed. It would be incredible to have the same ventilation/temperature control in the common areas as can be found in the individual rooms.

The staff were kind and friendly, and we had no issues with the service. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the hotel was extremely disappointing. The shared bathroom sink had beard shavings on it when we arrived, and they remained there for our entire stay. The light switches were so dirty that I ended up cleaning them myself with Lysol wipes. Every time we entered our room, there was a strong unpleasant odor, even after I sprayed perfume. The mini fridge was filthy—it smelled bad and had visible mold inside. The air conditioning unit in our room didn't work, and the bedside lamp was unusable because it was plugged into a faulty extension cord. The overall condition of the room also left us questioning whether the bedding had been properly cleaned before our arrival. While the staff were pleasant, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance made for an uncomfortable stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values a clean and well-maintained environment. In addition there is a $100 deposit you are forced to pay to check in in case anything is broken or stolen in your room. They specifically state you will not be charged however my credit card was charged this fee. Currently waiting on my refund.

The location was great, and the building itself was nice enough, but overall, the place was not clean. The sheets on our bed were not fresh when we checked in, and we discovered hair and crumbs on them the first night we slept. We decided to wash them ourselves on the second day to ensure their cleanliness. The bathrooms seemed to have never been cleaned, as there was hair and dirt around the floor and dust build-up on all surfaces. If the stay had been cheaper, it wouldn't have been so bad, but for over $600, it's astounding to find the property in this state.

I stayed at this property for a weekend during Osheaga. Had this been a standard vacation rather than a festival stay, I would have been quite disappointed. Breakfast was not provided, and I was only informed of this upon check-in. The refrigerator in my room had a strong moldy odor. The electronic door lock system malfunctioned before I could even access the room. There was visible mold in the bathroom, along with a rusty drain stopper that was both unappealing and unsanitary. Most concerning of all, on the second night someone attempted to enter (or did enter) my room while I was half-asleep — I clearly heard the door open and close quickly. This was by far the most unsettling part of the stay. Overall, the property is marginally acceptable given the price point. However, I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a clean, comfortable, or secure stay.

Here's the deal - this place is good and the reviews I think if the property leaned in to being a bit more "hostel" than a hotel or bed and breakfast even, their reviews would be a lot more fair. My issues are mostly from lack of communication. Booking through Expedia made it hard to check in (since there's actually no physical person to check in with - and it's done online on their own website.. so if you book here, your email will not be the same as the check in one, so you have to call or show up and talk over their ipad), there was no information in the room about the free breakfast or wifi, but the latter was on a board in the kitchen (which didn't matter, because there wasn't even a password to protect the wifi), and the only reason I knew there was a breakfast was because my profile on their site offered me to add a breakfast for additional fee, BUT AGAIN, WE NEVER GOT BREAKFAST. Never knew timing, assumed kitchen, but nothing was left for us or asked of us.. we weren't itching to have it but we would have liked to be offered or any kind of communication.. The room was definitely not the cleanest; under the bed, the floor in general, was not well cleaned. There were leftover clothes in the dresser. ALL that to say.. the place was good. It was a good place to just sleep in, to leave your personals, it felt safe enough and when we finally met the on duty manager, he was nice. I think this place just needs a bit of a rebrand :)

Do NOT book here. The experience gives slum landlord more than a B&B/tourist accommodation. The customer service is horrible & the service paid for is not provided. It took a message via their app, a 30-min hold to be hung up on, an email and another call over a 2 day period to get answers to any questions. I was told that he - Andrew (the owner?)- would be there at check-in which is an absolute lie, there is no office or personnel. I was also told early check-in would be possible at 3pm to then receive a message on the app that I needed a code to get in that I would only get at 4pm. The code situation was an absolute nightmare. -Andrew informs me that the included breakfast will not be available but that we can buy one at the dépanneur café on the ground floor. He said it was a "courtesy" to inform me there would be no breakfast, that we do not need to be reimbursed as all this is "known by his people ". And of course, the dépanneur café is also his business, which he did not disclose and means he could easily have offered a basic breakfast as indicated in the booking.   -Only 1 towel was provided even though the reservation was for 2.  -We had no access to the included wifi as no code was provided. -The bathroom is shared with 5 other rooms. Cleanliness is ok given the situation. -An iron was available on the floor with no ironing board. -Only 1 plug was available but it was impossible to unplug the minifridge as it had a deep layer of ice that would have melted.

Wonderful location and hostel-like place to stay

Location is amazing! Bed was comfortable. Staff was accomodating and nice. There is no staff on site, and we needed more guidance than was provided via email or in person about how to enter and that the kitchen was upstairs etc. If looking for a hostel like situation, this place is great :)
