among the better hotels near the MTY airport

I've stayed at most of the hotels near the airport in Monterrey and, while they are all pretty similar, I think this one is among the top quartile, quality-wise. It's located near several restaurants, and the shuttle is timely. There's no reason not to stay here.

This hotel is your avaerage hotel with nice staff and a good work out room. It was clean and comfortable. What i didnt like is the hall on my floor always smelled musty and my room always felt damp. The beds and pillows were comfy but I had to deal with feeling clammy all the time in the room.

The hotel is a short 5 minute drive if even that from the airport. The hotel looks well kept, my room was up to date with a nice big screen TV and very clean, however there is an enclosed area behind the lobby that is shuttered off with leftover construction materials that could be used as a green space instead. The staff was excellent, check-in and check-out were quick and easy, the airport shuttle was very convenient, breakfast was good, but the breakfast tacos looked more American than Mexican which I didn't like. Also, there is a Chilli's next door and several other nice restaurants, such as El Papalote, within walking distance. All in all side from the Taco Bell breakfast tacos I enjoyed my stay very much.

The location is great! Super close to the airport. Breakfast was delicious! But we encountered a really dirty shower, it even had mold as well as the toilet not working properly. They did a quick fix in the restroom, but it was a loud stall. But the shower was just not clean at all. I found a beer metal cap on one of the dressers as well. “Private hairs” on the sink. I wish I could get a refund back for the inconvenience or at least a portion of the $145 we paid. But it is a great location to stay if you have a rush flight to take the next day.
