Wonderful until I was charged $30 for damaging 2 washclothes. Not happy. I used 1 washcloth to clean up coffee I spilled in the coffee tray while trying to pour a cup of coffee!!! The other was used to wash off máscara! Im not happy at all. I have never heard of such BS. I will never go to anyothere RIU Hotel/ resort again. I was told that is why they have housekeepers. Never again!

This was a top tier vacation. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There were lots of activities and things to do. Staying in Reggae meant we also had access to Montego Bay, and they had a lot going on there. I’m glad we chose the Reggae option, where we had less crowded pools and beach front, but we could still access the other one if we wanted. The food was excellent with local and international options and everything was extremely tasty. I would definitely visit again

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The toilet in my initial room was clogged, and no one assisted me until the following day. Maintenance came out four separate times but was unable to fix the issue. On the second day, I was moved to another room; however, I did not receive any housekeeping service for the remainder of my stay. Whenever I requested towels, staff would tell me they were not assigned to my area and that I needed to contact the front desk. Unfortunately, the front desk rarely answered calls, and when I was finally able to reach someone, it took a long time for assistance to arrive. My room door was opened while I was in the shower. Additionally, I informed the excursions staff that I was booked through Expedia, but my Expedia points were never applied. Overall, the lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and unresolved maintenance issues made for a frustrating experience.

This property appears to be the newest addition to the RIU properties in Montego Bay. The staff was very professional and helpful throughout the entire visit. The food at the buffet was different almost everyday (which is a good thing). And you can also visit the other property for shows, dancing and eating. They also had leisure activities and amenities around their property daily. The only thing that bothered me was there was a lot of painting near my room during my visit and it was an eye sore and smelled. Besides that it would have been perfect.

Overall, I had a great experience despite of what others say regarding this resort. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The weather was amazing, food was average resort food. Pool was nice and the entertainment crew was the best. I would also recommend booking with JR excursions & transportation services when traveling to Jamaica (876-346-2218) Chevy was super nice & very attentive!

I would highly recommend this whole time any related properties to anybody looking to stay in Montego Bay. Staff was amazing in the games that were played was amazing. The shows everything that’s a hotel offered was up to par or even better from the moment arriving on the property, I was greeted with welcomeness.

This is my 2nd year coming and will be back . The property is very clean staff is excellent and friendly. Beach is cleaned every morning for any debris. The buffet has a little something for everyone. I did not do the ala carts this time but last year they were excellent. When staying at the Reggae you have access to the sister resort riu montego but not riu palace. Montego is fairly large also adult only i prefer the smaller riu Reggae everything is close and not a far walking distance. Rooms are maintained daily and anything you need is a phone call away. Minibar is separate from housekeeping which gives you you basics of pop beer and water along with a dispenser of gin vodka rum and scotch. Again is just a phone call to get restocked 24 hrs a day. Every room has a balcony and coffee maker along with blowdryer shampoo conditioner and hand soap they don't have lotion so may want to bring some. I had fun with my housekeeper with a little origami towel war which makes there day a little better as they are working long hours everyday.there is no atm but a short 3 min walk takes you to a bank with atms. They have a jerk hut on the beach that serves fresh jerk chicken with some sides that was delicious but be careful if you cant do spice choose bbq over jerk sauce as that also has a mild bite. Also dont leave your dirty dishes by you or you will get swarmed by the bird haha..couple people found out the hard way. Resort also has designed smoking outside which is clearly marked.

The property was clean and all the staff was exceptional. They give you a large variety of food to choose from. I have stayed with them about 8 times and I have enjoyed each time.

Staff is nice close to the airport like 9 minutes…. It was cool I’m picky so i don’t want those things to wavier no one’s opinion.

Overall, I had a good stay at RIU Reggae in Montego Bay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. While you would expect the front desk to be more welcoming, the rest of the staff, including the bartenders, entertainment team, and restaurant staff, were amazing, friendly, and really made the experience enjoyable. The entertainment were definitely highlight of the trip. As for the food, the buffet was much better than the specialty restaurants. The restaurant food wasn’t as fresh or as impressive, while the buffet had better variety and overall quality. Overall, a fun stay with great vibes, but the restaurant food could be improved.

Staff were fun and very attentive. Shuttle service was prompt and you definitely had options. Pool area clean and loved the swim up bars. Overall, a nice resort to visit to relax or have a good time.

Room was clean, but when trying to drink from the mini bar in the room, there was black smudge on the handle and dead flies in the nozzle. Also, when we arrived, they only have one elevator to get to the room and it wasnt working. We had to go up 3 flights of steps to get to our room
