I stayed at El Greco in February of 2020 hotel was booked through Expedia.com location was great I was able to move around locally my biggest problem is El Greco still did not refund my Deposit that I should have receive at the end of my stay providing there was no issues regarding the property . El Greco please do the right thing send my refund.

Nothing. When I came to the front desk, they said my 'pre-paid reservation' was to late and I was at the desk at 2pm. For the first time in all my years of travel they did not let me in the hotel, and said I had to work it out with Orbitz to get a refund for not staying there.... This WRONG and NOT fair.

The bathroom vanity was falling apart, the kitchen light didn't work, the restaurant was constantly out of menu items and the service took forever. One day we waited at least an hour and 15 minutes for a simple lunch item!! Half the restaurant staff were terrible. The female lobby staff were not polite, friendly or helpful. They were all sullen and rude. The male lobby staff were fine. The pool was OK, but the whole place needs a makeover. It was not a hotel or resort but more like a Motel 6. We had a kitchen, but they didn't provide washclothes, towels, dish detergent, nothing. We had a coffee maker, but no coffee or tea. They also did not provide shampoo or body lotion. To buy all of this stuff either in the motel or in the convenience stores on the Hip Strip cost a fortune. If I was Expedia I would never have offered this motel as a travel option. I feel totally gypped.

Property is very old and outdated no Security I booked a room through Expedia when I got to the hotel I was told that the rooms were all booked up they sent me to a different property where I had to pay more money to stay there when I already paid online for one room. When I arrived at the resort i was told that i had to be relocated to another hotel because there was maintenance issues, which is understandable. The issue for me was, you guys waited until i got there to relocate me, and the resort i was relocated to was horrible. When i initially booked, i booked a 2 bed 2 bath with 1 king size bed and 1 queen size bed. The hotel i was relocated to gave me a 2 bed 1 bath with 1 king size bed and 2 twin size beds. That is unacceptable for 2 full grown adults!

If you are looking for a place to stay for business just to sleep or if you are planning a stay as a villa with plans to go out this is perfect. The views are breathtaking. However if you are looking for a place to enjoy yourself and relax with many amenities, keep looking.

as the term goes “you get what you pay” beautiful view of Jamaica from the top of the hill were the hotel is situated. El Greco needs up grading. Everything is out dated! Pool, rooms, dinning everything needs updating. Great spot with a view. The food is excellent and your 10 or less walk to both the “beach and on the Hip Strip” plus minutes from the airport.

Great except for initial check-in

Check-in starts at 3pm--it is NOT 24h like listed in the description! Our initial check-in experience was quite poor as there was an extremely apathetic receptionist who turned us away at 10:30am (although we were able to store our bags for free while we wandered the city). We had a much better experience when we returned and every time afterwards, as we interacted with a different receptionist. Seems like the first receptionist was just filling in for the day (public holiday) and didn't know what was going on. The room itself was fine, again no shampoo which is standard for Jamaican hotels, Wi-Fi mostly worked, they do provide pool towels and free access to the Doctor's Cave beach across the street. Breakfast was excellent; free at their restaurant on their property, with option of European (fruit, toast, eggs) or Jamaican (fruit, toast, saltfish, greens). Everything about the stay was great except for the initial check-in.

NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE AS PROMISED

I do not appreciate Deceiving Sales Tactics - this hotel in the propaganda said "airport shuttle" which means free airport shuttle - there is NO airport shuttle. Basically they call you a cab and it is $20 for a 2 mile ride to the airport. So please make sure you correct this because this is not true. it should say "Airport Transportation has a cost" not "airport Shuttle"
