I cannot recommend staying at this property due to significant discrepancies between the listing and reality, as well as unprofessional behavior from the host.
Key Issues:
Inaccurate Listing: The "communal garden" and "common areas" mentioned in the description do not exist. There is no outdoor space for guests to use.
Unprofessional Conduct: Upon arrival, the host/caretaker directed us to a store where she works. We felt pressured to make purchases, and when we didn't buy "enough," the host and staff openly mocked us. Furthermore, the host repeatedly tried to invite herself along on our private excursions, which felt like a major boundary violation.
Pest Issues: The room was infested with cockroaches. While the host did eventually come to treat the room, it was an unpleasant and unhygienic experience.
Extreme Noise: There was a party held directly downstairs with loud music playing all night. Because of the noise level, we were unable to get any sleep.
Final Verdict: Between the lack of basic amenities, the bug infestation, and the aggressive "upselling" at the host’s workplace, this was a stressful and uncomfortable stay. Look elsewhere in Montego Bay
