Gorgeous hotel downstairs, our bedroom was lovely and bright with a huge double shuttered window that opened out onto the garden and hill view. Our friends however had a split level room which dark & had a lot of wasted space in it so it did not have any chairs to on a the tv was where mirror should have been. It only had a very small window which didn’t open. Choose your room carefully. Hotel services could be much better it coffee machines were in rooms and a water/ice machine was available on each floor. You could buy water from the bar, however this was often unmanned so had to go to reception to ring for bar person to come down and then go back to bar to be served. It was pretty costly as well. There was only one staff member in bar area when it was manned. A bar menu was on display however nothing available except 2 types of focaccia . The bar lounge area was more of a meeting area rather than a social place to sit with friends. It was very tastefully decorated however sadly lacked any atmosphere. Hotel was ok and would be much more appealing if more services available.

A relaxing stop over on our journey north.
Very enjoyable stay in an Edwardian style hotel. Staff were delightful and very welcoming. The room was very comfortable, but the bathroom was small. The shutters remain permanently closed which is a shame as there would have been a great view on Montecatini Alto. The surrounding environment is delightful.

I booked this hotel as a treat for my son and his wife to have a break from their home in lucca while we were visiting. The hotel was immaculate and the staff were very friendly. The only criticism would be the amount of sun beds available around the pool. This would not stop me from booking again.

It is a lovely hotel with a great location. We enjoyed walking from the hotel, nightly,. It’s proximity to the park is very nice also.

Location and character very good. A lot of traditional features. Rooms although small were kept very clean. Most staff were friendly and Beatrice at reception was very helpful. Housekeeping staff were always very cheerful 😀 Overcharged for drinks on first night which put us off having after dinner drinks at the hotel. We thought they were expensive but put this down to hotel prices. We did not discover that this was an error until checking out which was disappointing. Breakfast quite bland and could be improved by perhaps having a cooking station for eggs where one could get freshly poached eggs or omelettes.

Old world charm
Hotel is a few mins walk from main square and Montecatini Centro train station. Understated elegant hotel, with lovely staff. Just back from a week there with some great weather and had the pool to ourselves most of the time we went. Very quiet location at night and dont hear any noise from the corridors. Only had breakfast but this is brilliant with the best coffee I have had in years. Highly recommend and I have stayed in quite a few hotels in the area. I will definitely be back to this one

terrible manager and a distressing second night
There was an incedent on our second night which meant we got hardly any sleep...it was because the next door were arrested by the police at 2 am and they had guns and dogs and there was a lot of noise and when we asked the manager to move us as we had been upset he took no responsiblity and said it wasnt the hotels fault if guests were arrested by the police in the middle of the night.....it was really scary.We are pensioners an d didnt expect this..anyway after a heated discussion and my husband threatening to check out and 15 minutes of stress the manager after much negativity agreed to move us to a different floor. This was unacceptable he should have immediately moved us without argument and should have even compensated us..a bottle of wine would have done the trick! Apart from the lack of management the hotel was very nice and the pool was excellent.

The hotel, while it has a great exterior, was very, very dated - looks like it was renovated in the 70's - and not well. Cheap laminate floors and really ugly furnishings. Room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned since the 70's. Not a good experience overall!

Great hotel, appears to have been recently refurbished on a large scale. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms. Beware of the onsite parking charges if you take a car.

Hotel met all our needs and expecttations
Well kept classy hotel, very polite staff, everything we were looking for. It was the little things, the waitress remembering what we liked for breakfast, the complimentary watermelon slices for everyone sat around the pool, the help I had from the reception staff when we had car problems. The hotel breakfast was excellent as was dinner and the kids always seemed pleased when I said we were eating in. I would happily visit this hotel again, as would the rest of the family.

Lovely hotel, very smart with excellent facilities. The staff, especially the Manager and bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to advise on the local area and places to eat. Will definitely return.

In merito al pagamento della tassa di soggiorno, ricordiamo che essendo una tassa da riversare al Comune , nel caso di mancanza di altri extra, il pagamento viene richiesto in contanti, altrimenti ci sarebbe la commissione della carta di credito. Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Very nice pool area. But there are many shortcomings, in particular a very poor gym and wifi did not work at all. Also a quite low service level across the board.

En skøn tur i varmen.
Dejligt hotel. Skøn velkomst, rent og pænt. Poolen er skøn. Morgenmaden er ikke 4-stjernet og meget få ansatte taler engelsk. Men et dejligt ophold.

Schönes Hotel mit schönem Ambiente
Das Hotel hat ein altes Ambiente, welches auch gleichzeitig Gemütlichkeit ausstrahlt. Es liegt relativ mittig zu den Städten Pisa/Lucca und Florenz. Wir hatten ein 3 Bett Standart-Zimmer, über 2 Etagen. Das Zimmer war wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Das Frühstück war für uns völlig in Ordnung, mit genügend Auswahl. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Gerade auch das Frühstück auf der Terrasse, haben wir genossen. Wir haben auch einmal abends dort im Restaurant gegessen und es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bar haben wir nicht besucht. Den Pool wollten wir eigentlich auch nutzen, haben es aber in 3 Tagen leider nicht geschafft. Die Lage des Hotels ist zwar etwas außerhalb der Ortschaft und somit auch ruhig, aber man kann dennoch sehr gut zu Fuß in die City von Montecatini-Terme laufen. Wir hätten gerne noch eine Nacht verlängert, jedoch war unser 3 Bett Zimmer laut Hotel.com leider schon ausgebucht. Uns hat es insgesamt sehr gut gefallen und würden noch einmal wieder kommen.
