This hotel needs to be shut down from the lobby to the rooms. The staff was very rude and argumentive. Pictures of the establishment were fake photos from over 10+years. The pool was shown in one pic but when arrived the pool was shut down for what look like years. When walking into the lobby it smelled horrible. The clerk looked as if she may have been an addict as she took my payment and forged my signature on the receipt. I switched from 3 different rooms, all were the same, bad smell, floors not cleaned and mold in the tub. There was a hole in the bathroom wall in every room we looked at. The pillow cases were stuffed with sheets for a homemade pillow. The sheets were not clean and the blanket was filthy. This place needs to be shutdown and renovated with the help of the city and health department. Housekeeping did not service room just left a roll of tissue and that was it. We were scammed out of the first nights payment for a refund because we were told that after we made payment a bank drop was done...Mind you this was at 11pm at night....If you don't want to end up sick or with any type of bed bugs I suggest to look at others in the area. Thank God we're in a much cleaner establishment as of this morning. This hotel need serious attention and needs to be looked at by the city of Monroe......Be Aware before spending your hard earned money with these people....You've been warned

The room was disgusting. Didnt look like it had been cleaned at all before i arrived. All the staff were completely rude when ssking them for clean towels which they was meant to leave out daily but they didnt do once. Also the keys had to be renewed every day which meant i had to deal with the rude stuff daily.

Room was nasty. Floor was dirty. Terrible smell. Bathroom was filthy. Bathtub was clogged. Furniture was very old and ragged. Toilet was dirty. Staff member blamed me clogging the bath tub.Shower curtain was badly molded. The bath tub fixtures were detached and hanging exposing the wall behind the tub. My advice would be a full updated restoration.

This place is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It should be torn down. Filthy. Trash everywhere. Shoddy construction. The shower curtain was disgusting and discolored with filth. The floor has probably not been cleaned in years. If you stay longer than one night, you are locked out of the room until resetting the key in the office. No ice machine. Bedding horrible. Claiming there is Internet is just plain fraud. I had to sit outside in my car to do my work. But, I wasn't comfortable after Twilight, fearing for my safety.

I was approached by a couple people asking me for money over and over and over. It is a very sketchy place. The room was probably the nastiest room I’ve ever stayed in. It stunk and was falling apart. I am not one to leave a bad review, but I would want someone to tell me before I booked a stay here. I also tried to get food delivered there and there was not one business that would deliver there. You could come pick it up, but they would not deliver and I think there’s a reason for that.

I arrived at the location 1035 Martin Luther King Junior Drive @ ( Motel 6 ) in Monroe, Louisiana 71203 and was shocked of dissatisfaction. The outside of the motel was not accurate to the online listing. The front motel clerk didn’t show exceptional customer service but she did her job. I received my room key and was giving directions. I proceeded to find my room that was by the pool after driving around the whole building. I then parked by the pool and had to get out to look for my room. There wasn’t any elevators, so I proceeded up the stairs. My room was 255 I walked by it multiple times because it was not on a door placard, it was written with a sharpie marker, that was faded. I open the door to look at the room. The room was like something horrible I proceeded to the bathroom it was plain (without towels only 1 bar of motel 6 soap) and the tub was as well. I then walked to the closet and had a difficult time opening it. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room and both seemed to be working fine. I looked behind to toilet and saw something that resembles grass, mold or algae like substance. I then realized that I was not going to stay here. I went back to the front desk and informed the clerk I wanted a refund. She was understanding and informed me that, the refund would be back on my card in 5-10 business days. I HIGHLY recommend that NO stay here if the VALUE their safety, and safety of vehicles.
