「The Suites at 249 was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I was blown away by the decor of the Violetta suite, which was exactly my taste. I didn’t expect such a modern and updated venue to be in historic Culpepper. Parking was easy and it seemed to be in an ideal location even though I was there for only one night.」

There a a carport to with charging capacity for EVs. Continental breakfast was fresh and delightful. Game room, gardens and full kitchen at the guest disposal. All rooms lock with a code for extra security. Street noise was quiet after 10 pm and before 6am. Hostess responsive to texts; price was competitive and yet...

「The heater in the room had been making the weird sound nearly all night which disrupted my sleep. My other co-workers who stayed during the same period also had the same experience. No safe in the room, no slippers provided. But the service is friendly and reliable. The location is next to major highways exit hence its very convenient.」

I found the stay a little awkward in that we entered an open front door, texted the host as instructed and received no response - it felt a little ‘Home Alone’ ish. 「The room smelled like mold and cigarettes even though it was supposed to be nonsmoking, the walls are so thin that any conversation a person in a neighboring room is having can be heard. And the only heat source was some kind of AC wall unit that literally started smoking when turned on. When I told the owner about the fire hazard he completely dismissed me and actually laughed at my concern. Do not stay here.」
