In our room, there was a "humming" noise in the bathroom 24/7 that you could only drown out with the television. The main thing was the elevator being broke down. They need to make it perfectly clear on their website about this. It's not like it just happened either. We found a review from February mentioning it. This tells me that they are not working on fixing it. Us, along with several other guests that we talked with during our stay, would not have stayed there. The staff were ALL friendly and helpful, especially Brian! He helped us carry our luggage up to our room. The rooms were clean but the clutter in the area going out the back gate needs to be removed as well as the parking area needs some attention to clean up. Would we go back, yes. Only because of the location and people. We would also stay in one of the "original" rooms with a balcony. We also would travel lighter knowing the elevators status.

It obvious that they want a certain type of person here. The owner was rude and nasty. Kicked us out and told us the roach motel down the road is perfect for us. Then a guest was concerned about us and he told the guest we was basically nobody. Kicked us out in the middle of the night because we told him we needed something to clean up some mess in the middle of the floor that WE DIDNT MAKE. Accused us of lying and HE kicked us out the nice room and put us in a dirty one. Black folks good enough to clean up your hotel but not enough to stay there. Thanks for ruining my special needs childrens night and mine too.

Very unique hidden gem. Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative during my stay was the elevator was out, but it was no real issue. Loved the area around the hotel and the parking was easy.

The property is old and shows it a little bit but the style and presents of the building make it a very nice experience. located an easy walking distance (a few blocks) from lots of restaurants and entertainment. It is a beautiful place. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. The only issue I had was the shower did not have a safety rail for getting in and out. Also the patio area needed some attention regarding sweeping and getting rid of water bugs. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

This hotel has so much potential, they don’t upkeep it at all though. Broken curtains, electric lit mirror was falling out of the wall, broken wall plates, stained sheets, etc. is it worth the price per night? Yes I’d say so, but not a penny more.
