Upon checking out, the GSR was asked for a late checkout because of our late AAU Basketball game. She checked my rewards profile, noticed we stay in HYATT every other weekend, and offer 1pm.
We decided to take some things down anbout 11am and grab food. As we were pulling into the parking lot at 12:06pm, I received a phone call saying “Check out is at 11am, it’s after 12pm you should be out by now”… she was very rude. I explained that we asked for a later check out of 12pm and we were offered 1pm.
Once I walked in the facility 2 minutes later (12:08pm) with food, I explained that we were offered 1pm; however the kids were headed down and the room would be vacant.
We sat in the lobby and ate our food. She apologized to my fiance’, because in fact she was the GSR that offered to extend the late checkout to 1pm. But at 12:44pm, my card was attempted to be charged 5 times for another nights stay.
The facility and rooms were nice, but the GSR needs to be able to communicate better and I am aware that checkout on Sundays can be hectic, but she was really rude.
