Great stay - need to be able to turn heat down, but all-in-all a great place to stay.

Catch a cab!
I get there and there is absolutely not one parking space available... so I couldn’t stay, and lost my money for the room! No one answered the phone when I called to inquire about the parking situation either!
This was an older building and times have changed. Some of it was highly nostalgic, some just plain outdated. The life noises of residents of the hotel give the atmosphere a little something different that is not different from other stays. The bed and bedding was cozy and clean, as well as the carpets and surfaces. Not many channels on the TV- only local. It is autumn, and there is no independent thermostat so I was very glad i read other reviews and brought a space heater along. The hotel is in a busy area so parking is a challenge. There is a lot on the grounds but lodgers are required to pay AN ADDITIONAL $10.00 just to park on it. Takes the value away for the stay. Was trying to concentrate on the positive but this broke the camel's back. Won't go again....
Awful. There we couldn't sleep since at 2 in the morning there were yelling and people fighting for more than an hour. No one did anything. The service attendance really poor. I wanted to check out the person was smoking and didnt even receive my keys.

There was no heat in my wing of the building so I pretty much was left to freeze in my room. They provided a broken iron as well.
This hotel should not even be open. I booked here on a business trip and not only was the hotel old(the key was actually a key) it was freezing. They gave us a heater that was broken and didn’t stand up.
Good overall. Pillows weren’t very comfortable. Stayed in early October so the window AC units were in the windows and the draft around it made the room really cold.
If you appreciate vintage buildings and accommodations this hotel is for you. Nothing fancy about it but comfortable and clean. The room has an awkward set up but so much storage and drawers. Location is great for downtown activities and free parking is great. Customer service was excellent especially since I had a problem with my room key (they give you an actual key not a key card or anything) they were very prompt and friendly to get it resolved.
Location. Friendly and accommodating staff. Secure parking. Business office.
Hotel is taking COVID precautions.

Great location. Staff fantastic. No cable - last time here had it. Did not think to check. Inconsistent housekeeping services. Did not show up one day.
I had booked a last minute hotel while
Visiting the family. The whole experience was in regards of the hotel was bad. Elevator wasn’t working, there were bugs in the carpet, it looked like a crime Scene just happened. A window AC unit? Shower wasn’t working and there was a puddle in the tub.
The good:
The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. We did complain about smoking after the second night and after waking up congested from the dirty air. The staff offered to upgrade our room right away. We were already unpacked and set up in the room, so we declined. We asked for more pillows and they sent them right away.
Great location and felt safe. Close to downtown. Good nightly rates.
The bad:
Our hallway smelled like smoke. Our room smelled like smoke covered in cleaning products. We found an old pizza box under our bed. The water takes 5 mins to run before it’s hot. The pillows were hard and skinny, flat. There was a mattress cover under the sheets that was bunched you and uncomfortable to lay on.
The curtains that block the sunlight also cover the AC unit. It took some maneuvering to keep the curtains closed but not cover the AC.
Overall:
It took some work to get comfy here. Hindsight: we should’ve asked for a new room right away. We learned our lesson.
It is a historic property that is elegant, old world environment which I like. However, in my room there was peeling paint, needed a fresh coat of paint, rug needs replacing and bathroom tile needed deep cleaning.
Had no idea it was primarily a residential establishment and a somewhat dowdy one at that, including the residents. Both are showing their age if you know what I mean. Elevators very slow as well. Great location though and friendly, helpful staff.

Room was nice but no mini fridge no air conditioning so we had to ask for a fan. Glad it wasn’t summer. Rooms need updating since you’re paying a premium
