First of all, I want to give a special shout-out to the receptionist, Muhammad. He was incredibly professional, caring, and accommodating—truly going above and beyond. The hotel is very lucky to have someone like him on their team. He also makes the best Aperol Spritz in Milan! The hotel itself is charming, located about a 10-minute walk from all the main attractions. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are thoughtfully designed, cozy, and comfortable. I highly recommend London Hotel for solo travelers.

This is probably the worst hotel stay I have had in my 35 years on planet earth. The staff, specifically a man I do not remember the name, is one of the rudest people I have ever met. We were 30 minutes late to check out and he wanted to charge us 30€, despite never communicating this fee (he said if you checked out at 2 pm you had a 60€ fee). He said I needed to pay the tourist tax in cash, so I went to go to an ATM and my friend remained inside. When I came back, he proceeded to LOCK THE DOOR OF THE LOBBY and not let us out until we paid him the 30€, saying he had called the police. Eventually we said we would also call the police , and he released us after 10 minutes. They only provide 1 key, and if you lose it, it costs 50€ (it is just a normal, reused plastic card). The rooms are tiny, averagely clean. I will say there was a very nice woman who checked us in and let us keep our suitcases the morning we arrived.

The hotel was in a great location, the room was clean and fit for purpose. The staff were a little distant on arrival, and I did not receive any change after paying the city tax; you could only pay the tax in cash which meant I had to venture out and find a cash point before I could check in - not ideal after a long journey.
