The apartment is a little run down, but pretty spacious. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and made check-in easy. The apartment is in the middle of the downtown pedestrian area, so it’s pretty loud at night. The staff provided ear plugs, which were much appreciated. You can’t beat the location for access to shopping, museums, and the Duomo.

Very friendly. Little tricky to find but eventually after circling the block discovered it. The bedding was minimal and a little cold so be aware and can be a little noisy with the trams at night but overall positive experience.

Great location and clean room
Great location, very clean, with all required amenities, old building but rooms in good shape. Interesting elevator! Easy check in and check out. The only downside is that the sofa bed was noisy and uncomfortable.

The service at Aparthotel dei Mercanti was very personal. Alfredo, Hasan, and Javier were all very welcoming, kind and helpful. Excellent location right near the Duomo. The kitchen was modern & well-equipped. Our fifth-floor apartment was very quiet despite the central location. Highly recommend!

The property is in amazing proximity to the Duomo and the Galleria, the staff was kind and the room was gorgeous. Only thing that was missing was sheets for the sofa bed

Excellent location, literally over the road from the Duomo. The room was really well furnished and the staff were so friendly and couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Enzo the property management was fantastic to deal with. He was a thorough communicator throughout the whole stay, meanwhile the building itself was under going renovations. As a first timer in Milan, it was hard to find, as their was no signage, and tucked away in a private off street setting. Walk 50-100m, and you are at Duomo, a large tourist attraction, which has a taxi rank right there. Real convenient. If I was to head back to Milan, I would make a booking at the same place. 👍

Lousy night lousy hotel and lousy customer service
The hotel was impossible to find, undergoing internal construction, very noisy due to the trams running until late at night, I was charged for a second room because Hotels.com screwed up the booking and the rooms were falling apart with bookshelves hanging off the walls above the beds.

The air conditioning did not work well. We sweat all night long. Also, the person at the front desk was not there to help at night or for check out in the morning.

Dear Sirs, Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry that you failed to turn on the air conditioning, before we arrived we turned on the air to cool the room and then turned it off. You arrived, we waited at the reception until 10 pm in case of requests, you left and you said it was all right. To which we left, the white remote control is for air conditioning and the black one for TV, daily air checks are done, but thanks to the same from today onwards we are asking all customers if they know how the air conditioning works. great little apartment to see the city
are stay was a quick jumping off point for our vacation, being in heart of Milan right by the Basilica was amazing, The hotel has an elevator "small" but it meant we did not have to hall our bags up 3 flights of stairs. The apartment was beautiful, decorated very nice. Private bath, bedroom, pull out couch for my daughter, great wifi secure building,

It was an overall good experience. Clearly the location with 2 minutes walk to piazza duomo is the big winner. Noisy at night and smallest elevator I have ever seen in my life. Clean and comfortable room. If you need service after 5 pm, nobody is there. Good luck.

One night stay
We only stayed for one night due to a cancelled flight. Location was great, however being very central there was a lot of noise from the trams that run throughout the night. Apartment was spotless, spacious, with all the essentials and very friendly staff.

Great Location
Great location. But a hint - if getting a taxi from the station, just ask to be taken to Piazza Duomo to the taxi stand at front of Duomo. This is only a few metres to the apartment through alley opposite (use map). Better than giving exact address as hard for taxi to find. Tiny lift but thank goodness it was there as we were on the fifth floor! Great restaurants in near vicinity. We went on Last Supper, Castle and Duomo Tour which is well worth it. But get a cab to starting point as it is further than it looks on map.

Great place. Central location. Train noise.
The place was amazing. The location was fantastic, so close to Duomo and the metro stations. The accomodations were unique and interesting. The decor and design was very Italian. I loved the jacuzzi tub in my room. I enjoyed the older building and unique lift. The only downside was the street noise from the trolleys and buses that run by continually. There is nothing they can really do about that but they did provide ear plugs. If city noise bothers you this is an issue. Otherwise I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Service staff are very nice & helpful, we appreciated the service & support they provided. The hotel location are perfect for a few David holidays, it is 2 mins walk to Duomo & Cathedral. However the hotel is 100 years old, the facility is in acceptable condition but it is outdated. I think it may be suitable for budgeted limited traveller.
