I was born in Midland and have been back many times to see family and friends and for business. The people there are good folks on the whole. The terrain & climate there isn't for everyone but it's not a bad place to live and raise your kids.

A bit stinky, as all towns in the Permian Basin. The smell of money, some say. But, stink is stink. But, lots of good restaurants, especially TexMex.

I like Midland, but the road conditions are so horrible. The roads are rough and so are some of the parking lots.

Midland is gonna Midland. Roads are somehow worse than Houston's, so big shout-out to the city for that achievement. Yes, yes big trucks but Houston is full of them, too. Had some good BBQ near the hotel.

Midland seems to be a place to go for business but I did meet some wonderful people there. The heart of America for sure.
"This so far has been my favorite hotel. The only thing that was a small negative was it took forever for the room to cool down but other than that perfect "
"It was pretty new. Carpets were clean & the whole place was pretty. The only think would have like hot water for hot chocolate or tea. It was out of order. "
