First- the good. Shout out to the staff, specifically Carlos, Charlene, and Demetrius for being amazing front desk reps and doing their best! They are definitely part of the heart of this hotel. The room itself, was as expected: small, but clean. Appreciated the waters available in room, the extra towels and everything. Staff and service- 5⭐️!
Now for opportunities for improvement. The AC in the building and particularly our room was angry, like the devil himself had taken up residency and started monkeying with the controls. Facilities was called on day 1, which we returned to a cool room- hoping that was that. The next day, we woke up uncomfortably and in pools of sweat. Ew. It hit up to 80 in our room. Being that the property was having issues, we did decide to move to another resort with proper working facilities. The staff- again- was super helpful and accommodating in our decision. The property would benefit from ensuring proper routine maintenance is completed, cleanliness of the lobby and pool/club side bathrooms is addressed (cleaned and stocked) regularly, and ensuring there are stocked items (like cups for the free coffee in the lobby).
As a heads up- the pool is in the club area of the hotel, and 1/2 of it appears to be covered by a dance floor. It’s really not inviting if you want a pool to relax in, unless that’s your thing.
Appreciate the experience and the team members we worked with, but will not stay again.
