"Charming and memorable stay with Dr Daniele and Casa Nini. Dr Daniele was utterly charming and helpful, from directing us into the car park to making dinner reservations (trust him! The food and views at Sottovento are amazing!). The morning of our departure he served a hearty continental breakfast and directed us to a local hike. He was a large part of our remarkable experience and I plan to return!"

"We had a wonderful stay! The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They have a communal lounge area where you can hang out and grab a drink, patio tables outside, and a restaurant that on its own is worth the visit. The breakfast was amazing and very filling. Rooms are serviced every day. Our apartment was comfortable with everything we needed. We chose to walk to and from the lake and although steep in parts, it is totally doable. There is a dedicated path so you aren’t walking on the road. They also offered to shuttle us which came in handy when we needed to catch our train the last day. We would definitely stay here again. "Unbeatable views but that's about it. No elevator. Had to lug all of our luggage upstairs ourselves. No help from the staff. Rooms are incredibly outdated and dilapidated. The TV is smaller than my laptop. The shower is the size of a shower on a cruise ship. The restaurant on property is just ok. They try too hard to serve fancy food instead of sticking to a traditional, simple Italian menu. If it wasn't for the incredible view it would have been a total bust."

"Amazing team, the restaurants were exceptional as well as the breakfast with so many options and the rooms and attention was the best we ever had. They clean our room every two hours amazing service. Every activity you want to do on the lake they organized for you and they are very professional and communicative. The staff js friendly and make your stay memorable. The rooms are big and comfortable and brand new. We stayed for our honeymoon and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Villa Lario for making our honeymoon the best moment ever. They even plan a romantic night for us. "

"Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days."
