The staff was welcoming and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around downtown Memphis. I had a very pleasant stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton Memphis Downtown. Check-in was smooth, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the room was spacious and well-maintained. Our reserved room, which was paid in full, was mistakenly given to someone else. We were told there were no other “ready” rooms like the one we booked. The only options offered were a room with one bed, forcing my children to cram into the bed with us or sleep on the floor, or an uncleaned/dirty room that had been vacated about an hour earlier. Because this was their mistake, we asked if we could be given two rooms so our family wouldn’t be so cramped, and we were told an absolute “NO.” This was a very crappy experience and completely unacceptable. We were left scrambling to find another place to stay in the middle of the night with our children. I would not recommend staying here.
