「I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting.」

「We arrived late and had advised the hotel we would be doing so. There was no one at check in. The staff were very helpful at getting someone. The property looks great from the outside. The rooms are tired and could do with a refresh. When we arrived it was a particularly hot evening. There was no air in the room. The manager found a couple of fans. We couldn't open the windows as we were on the ground floor and a big group were outside our window. Its a shame that they are unable to install...

Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else.
