"We stayed at the Smokehouse Lodge and had a terrible experience in our original room. The check in process was smooth and being transferred to another room was smooth but that was the extent of the good parts. Our original room seemed clean on entry but there was piss in the toilet which should have been the first red flag. We just flushed it and said no big deal but when we tried to go to bed we ran into more issues. The sheets felt a little gritty and when we got out our flashlights we realized there was dirt and glass shards towards the foot area of the bed. Our sheets had not been cleaned. I immediately returned to the check in desk and because it was already midnight we decided to stay and get a different room. The next room was cleaned thankfully but the mattress was insanely uncomfortable. The front desk worker said they were having trouble getting good cleaning maids but that is no excuse - if a room hasnt been cleaned appropriately it should not be rented out. I would recommend staying at a different hotel."

"Everything was very nice. Clean, friendly staff. The only problem was the elevator wasn’t working. We were given a room on the 2nd floor so only one flight of stairs and only one night we were staying. So it wasn’t a big deal. "

"This was a clean place to sleep, shower and unwind. Front desk attendant was very helpful even as we checked in late, our wonderful bartender (Sam) and the local company gave the bar a welcoming feel, and the coffee from the cafe tasted great in the morning. Town had some late evening food options and waking to a quiet parking lot and town was the best way to start the day. I also hear the cheesecake is amazing in the cafe, but didn't have the opportunity to grab a slice (sold out) so I'll have to get there earlier next time I'm in town! Thank you to all the employees and folks that I met for a wonderful visit!"

"Absolutely no service. No coffee in room or in lobby. Manager stood outside my room and was yelling at staff at 7 am. I left a day early."

"Parking was adequate. Didn't eat the free breakfast. The view that was seen from the hotel at the back of the breakfast building appeared very trashy and not kept clean. I didn't even use it. I noticed several others using the breakfast building from the entrance but didn't want to chance getting sick. The staff was friendly although sometimes hard to understand. The rooms were well kept and the beds were relatively comfortable. Noise levels from other rooms was low so I could get a restful sleep. The back entrance to the parking lot isn't an entrance for rental cars. The dip causes cars to scrape on the bottom. The no parking area at the front of the building was used by guest motorcyclists but clearly marked NO PARKING. The sign was NOT enforced. The hotel is within walking distance to a fast food establishment as well as a gas station. Overall, it was a great stay."

"We were put into a handicap room on the bottom floor. The hot water for our showers was very brief with spouse and nonexistent for me. Breakfast was OK as been there before as we stopped over on our way home. "
