"An absolute gem of a hotel! The building is absolutely beautiful and feels like it has been there forever, even in the new parts. The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. They filter their water so you can use the taps no problem to brush teeth but they provide lots of bottled water as well. The location is perfect for exploring Stone Town, which is very safe to walk around on your own. The views of the ocean from the hotel are endless. And the staff goes above and beyond - everyone is helpful, always smiling and wants to make sure your stay is perfect. Our only regret is we didn't spend an extra few nights here. "

"This hotel has changed names and there is no signage showing the hotel location. The hotel is being managed by an Egyptian guy. This hotel is in need of alot of renovation. Expedia needs to remove them from posting fake information. Beds are broken, ceiling has big holes. it a a personal home and in very very poor condition. Not hot water. the lock you in the property we waited 30mins to have an attended let us out of the property so we can get dinner. the road is horrible no accessible. nightmare trip!!!! "
