Great location within the medina, and well-kept rooms with nice decor and amenities. (The only issue was the very loud mosque next door - blasting on the tannoys at 0600 for half an hour without pause, but it was Friday)

Lovely Riad for intrepid travelers

The Good: The staff and service at Riad Maud are great. Our room had a mesmerizing bas relief ceiling and wonderful details. Breakfast was fresh and timely. Iloved the roofdeck and the views of the city and mosques. The not so Good: Although there's a safe, the basic padlock for the door is a little too rustic. Our visit was in the winter so it was too cold to shower w/out heat. Definitely recommend you organize a transfer for arrival/dpture since the Riad is 5 min walk in narrow streets and requires a cart for a lot of luggage.

The room I thought I reserved was given to someone else and the room I was given was all the way at the top with tiny windows and the view was of towels hanging to dry by the staff. And the WiFi didn’t work at all in the room. Eventually I was moved to another room and the air conditioner was broken. I knew that when I moved to the room. The main issue with the room was that the bathroom was way too tiny I couldn’t move around comfortably in it. The breakfast and dinner was really good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I just wish the room situation had been better.

Beautifully decorated historic building in a very quiet area of the medina. Good location near Plaza Batha. Staff were very helpful arranging trips.

Das Riad ist sehr zentral zum großen Platz Djemma el Fna gelegen aber trotzdem ruhig und unbehelligt vom Lärm der Mopeds, die durch die engen Gassen donnern. Alle Mitarbeiter/innen waren sehr freundlich und bemüht, unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Frühstück ist für marrokanische Verhältnisse durchaus reichhaltig. Die Dachterrasse ist gemütlich, aber nicht so geräumig wie teilweise in anderen Riads. Man kann sich dort sonnen und frühstücken. Das Zimmer war großzügig geschnitten und sehr sauber.

Nice hotel close to the Medina

The hotel was in the heart of the Medina. Breakfast was provided for a surcharge but we preferred to walk to Starbucks and visit the newer part of town (2 miles). Room was comfortable and the AC worked well. The only thing was you can not drive to the location as the streets are narrow and filled with shops. You need to find a close parking location and have a porter with a wagon transport your luggage. We were a 5 minute walk to Jemaa el Fna. The neighborhood appeared safe, but we came back to the Riad by 1000. The city appears to stay alive well into the night.

Nice staff and good location

Staff were really nice. However one of the staff should have called the police when 2 men followed us demanding money rather than ask us not to make a big deal and it's ok to pay them. Very clean. Safe. They could have offered us the fan heater as it got cold in the room we were in and the only reason I knew they had them is cause I found them while looking for something else in the common area.

Bin anlässlich des Marrakesh Marathons angereist. Hab das Riad eigentlich wegen der zentralen Lage ausgewählt. War dann äußerst überrascht über den Charme des Riads und die unglaubliche Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals.

Sehr zentral am Hauptplatz gelegen.

Schönes kleines Riad, Ca. 2 laufminuten zum Zentralplatz. Zimmergrösse gut Sauberkeit ist gegeben. Schöne große dachterasse mit Whirlpool.

別のホテルをおすすめします。

到着早々、滞在費の請求をされる。ホテルズドットコムで予約の場合、カードで事前支払済のはずなのに、説明しても払えの一点張り。ホテルのパソコンの画面を見せられ、お前たちは払ってないと言われ続けるも、その画面には支払いについての記載なし。同行者がパソコンを色々操作し、支払済の記載を発見。ようやく支払済だと納得してもらうも、謝罪なし。あわよくば二重取りしようとしたんじゃないかと疑いたくなるほどの対応。 部屋ではWi-Fiが使えない。レセプション周辺でもほとんど繋がらず。 部屋は清潔感があるが、部屋の中にトイレが無く不便。 フナ広場まで近いが、夜はホテル周辺の街灯が少なく、ちょっと怖い。 モロッコを快適に過ごしたいなら、別のホテルをオススメします。

Personnel très accueillant et cadre magnifique.

Chambre trop bruyante, dans le passage de la réception (va-et-vient de la clientèle, le toiletteest situé sur le palier donc pas pratique en pleine nuit ) et sous la terrasse (raisonnance des chaises traînées et parasols). Les fenêtres de la chambre donnent sur la ruelle bruyante (scooter, discussions fortes, musique) sans rideau pour occulter la lumière du jour. Décoration magnifique et chambre assez spacieuse. Climatisation impeccable. Salle de bain avec tout confort. Jacuzzi hors service est situé devant la réception donc pas d'intimité.

Hospitable staff & on the door step of the Medina

The staff were lovely, especially the owner and happily recommended things to do & places to visit. Unfortunately the taxi we pre booked from the airport failed to turn up so we ended up having to get one ourselves. The room we stayed in, the bathroom constantly smealt of sewage as if there was a block, the room was very dull and not much light due to the lampshade covering and no natural light. At times it was quite noisy but the riad was an excellent location from the square. Rooms are very small and narrow however overall not a bad stay.

Riad Maud is a fantastic deal if you want to stay in the heart of the medina. The price dictates what you get -- decently comfortable bed, lots of space and the necessary amenities. The only complaint is the riad is a little dusty -- but at 40 bucks a night, it sort of comes with the territory. Would recommend to the budget traveler!

Hôtel très inconfortable.

La chambre était particulièrement sombre... Le Wi-Fi ne fonctionnait que rarement. De plus ils demandent à être payé en espèces... J'ai du faire plus de 10 distributeurs de billets Marrakech pour réunir la somme correspond à la note d'hôtel. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel, d'ailleurs j'ai du écourter mon séjour (7nuits au lieu de 10) et ce pour des raisons d'inconfort de l'hôtel.
