「A return visit to this lovely old Inn. A different and larger room with a very comfortable bed, decent sized shower unit and good complimentary tray and toiletries. Great choices for breakfast and the evening menu was also varied with 'specials' evenings. Friendly and welcoming. Pretty town to explore with good architecture. Car parking a short walk but not extortionate. Have MiPark as your app so no need to get up before 8 am to feed the parking meter. Excellent value」

「Great food at dinner and breakfast however the room was freezing cold as hotel have not turned heat in yet . Portable radiator in room was on high the entire stay. Little things such as toilet running all night , heated towel rail broken. Could stay again IF other rooms had heat. 」
「A business trip and had a commercial meeting at ESSAX suite, everything was well! Service was nice, restaurant offers typical British breakfast. Only a problem, the air conditioner will be re-set to the low temperature randomly. 」
「Close to Stansted airport. Bear in mind £4 per trip to and from airport. Breakfast included. So very good for value. In general it’s a but dated. McDonald’s and M&S food hall just a min walk away. For a brief stay to catch an early flight. Very good choice. 」
"Wasted lots of time getting our room… service is mediocre and the amenities is subpar… there is no coffee maker (just instant hot chocolate and tea)… oh and there is no fridge in the room… so a Hilton room without a fridge or coffee maker… "
