Lazy with no sense of service
Paid most for this motel so far on weel long motorcycle trip. Worst motel s ok far. Needed a place from rain. So it fit the bill. Asked about coffee in am when checking in and was told he would try but not to cry if it wasnt there. Room apparently not used for while as water was cut off to sink and toilet. I turned it on so no problem. Why am i writing this review? When mgr tells me not to cry if there is not coffee tells me he might. Not get out of bed to make it. Poor attitude a d laziness combined says he probably shouldn't be in the customer service business. I hope this is helpful to him and future customers.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean. It is not a high end hotel, you pay hotel price for a motel stay.
Spruce Pine Inn was a great value for my son and I while snowboarding 1hr away at Beech Mountain. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating during both days of our stay. It’s not the “Hilton”, but for $50/night on a weekend, we couldn’t have been happier.
Owner operated...very nice people.
Room was surprisingly comfortable

Not Satisfied…and now angry!
Never checked in…stopped by around 1000 the day prior, no one there but the housekeeping lady. My room was still occupied, so left and came back later that evening. No one in the office, so I went to another hotel! Manager said he was there that evening, but he wasn’t. Office was dark!
Then owner or manger questioned my integrity…that in itself is a red flag!
Even though I am used to some more Luxury, we had Inside the room and bathroom everything was white clean.

Totally Not Satisfied!
Stopped by around mid day on the day of check in. No one was in the office (door locked). Walked around looking for manager, when the cleaning lady came out and asked who we were. I told her my name and she there were still people in our room as she would clean it after they checked out. Came back later, office door still locked. Ended up having to stay at another hotel about 15 miles away! So we never checked in!
Believe the bad reviews. Although the front desk man was friendly, the property is in a bad state of disrepair.
The stairs used to be metal, but some have rusted through. Their solution was to just put some wood over top. I'm not sure how this meets any safety code. There is also no ice machine so BYOI.
The room was dirty and depressing. The bathroom had not been cleaned, old soap in the shower, and there is no mirror in the bathroom. The ceiling was stained and looked like someone perhaps had a pool stick and randomly poked holes in the ceiling. There was even a spider that lived inside the tv.
If your young and single go ahead and stay here. If you're bringing a significant other or family avoid this place, or you'll definitely be asked, "Exactly how much money did you save to stay here".
When reading the description of the place it said newly remodeled room, I wasn’t expecting the Marriott but there was one old chair, falling apart and when you sat down you sank in, the bottom was ripped, the tub/ shower ugh so gross, there was a wad of black hair in the drain and the tub itself was all peeling not to mention the shower curtain was plastic and dirty…I wouldn’t take a shower…the sink is in the bedroom so no privacy…just awful…the stairs to go up to the second floor were scary. Rusted, falling apart metal underneath and the walkway to get to the rooms was rickety and frightening to walk on. By far the worst place I’ve ever stayed. If these rooms were (“newly remodeled”) I’d hate to see what they were like before!!! 😠
It wasn’t a bad place to lay your head. It was fairly clean and the front desk staff was honestly the best part of our stay. He genuinely cared about our vehicle in the small parking lot and assured me that my pickup would be safe in the back parking lot because they do have cameras back there. The one major downfall is there is no coffee at the hotel anywhere.

Suited our needs
It was a typical, old style motel. The room was small but adequate. It had a refrigerator which was great for storing bottled water.
The room and bathroom were clean. Towels were better than expected and soap and shampoo was provided.
Limited available electrical outlets.
It was close to what we needed and accommodated our dogs without a huge fee.
did not have a breakfast as stated room a dump properts unsafe no view cealings had holes damp where rain had come thru their post just completely untrue misrepsented their property all together
