A delightful property with excellent service and staff who I were very helpful and wanted to please.
Really enjoyed our stay at The Louise. The staff there was very attentive and friendly during our 2-night stay there. They always had a smile and made it a truly comfortable experience. The restaurant Appellation had the most amazing and unobstructed view of the vineyards. We found it very relaxing to watch sunset every evening as we dined there.

There are not enough superlatives to describe our brief stay at The Louise. From the moment of our booking to our last minute on property, our stay was curated to our every need and interest. Huge thank you to Graham for o planning our overnight in the Barossa. Our suite was gorgeous with a view of the valley, the food was delicious, and the wine pairings were perfect. We cannot wait to return for a longer stay.
WOW - The Louise is in a class by itself. Wonderfully appointed suites (only 15) located in a beautiful pastoral setting among the vineyards.
World class service and the all inclusive nature of the resort makes it an easy place to visit, or go back to. I was told that the Louise is the “only” place to stay when in Barossa and now I know why.
Highly recommended !
The Louise is a destination in itself with it's scenic outlook and all-inclusiveness. Everything from breakfast, your mini-bar (everyday), afternoon appetisers, pre-drinks (including cocktails and top shelf spirits) then decadent four-course dinners with matching wines are included. Every night (in winter) turn down service included herbal night teas and hot water bottles left in the bed. Had we been here in summer, we would of made use of the infinity pool overlooking the vineyards.
Being our first time in The Barossa we chose to use it as our "hub" to explore the many wineries from - including Tscharke which is literally across the road. The Underground Wine Tasting is something else and if you get the chance - I recommend you do this tour organised by the hotel.
You will always feel like you have special attention given there are only 15 lodges available here but truly - the staff go above and beyond to cater and attend to your every whim (and sometimes get you out of a pickle). From making sure the day lounge was made into a bed for one of us snorers to retreat to at night - to helping us find last minute transportation when our uber did not show up to take us back to the airport, we were grateful for the wonderful staff.
A special mention to Darcy, Maddie, Ian, Pi, Esther and Deborah.
You have left us with special memories and we thank you!
Check in was great as was dinner. Food and service amazing.
Breakfast on the other hand, Showed up just before 930. No one to greet us. After a few minutes someone appeared and sat us. Ordered soft poached eggs and a few sides to share. Around 10, wondering where food is as checkout is 1030. Food shows up. Eggs are rock hard. Look around no staff. Go to kitchen behind closed door. Find 3 staff having a chat. By the time eggs made again, sides all cold and in a rush to check out. Should have given free breakfast a miss!
We loved everything about our stay at the Louise. Our Superior Suite (Maranaga Suite) was perfect. It was spacious but cosy and the bed was so comfortable. The view across the vines was beautiful. The food & wine pairings at Appellation were amazing. And the service from the staff at every single point of contact from our arrival to our departure was incredible. We highly recommend the Louise.
Perfect place to stay and enjoy all the Barossa has to offer. Staff friendly and we were well looked after and made feel special. Lovely relaxing weekend.
We had the most wonderful night here for a special wedding anniversary. Beautiful property, we especially loved the infinity pool, great hospitality and also the lovely room. Would recommend to others for a special occasion.
Our stay at The Louise was wonderful. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent, the room had an amazing view and the outdoor shower Was a nice surprise! I can’t wait to go back again.
