This B&B in a residential district near the hustle and bustle-but removed-is a welcome change of pace from the high-rise hotels of Manila. Beautiful old house. Outstanding service with a smile from the young ladies of the house. They are what make the place special. Good breakfast, too! Not particularly well set up for the traveling business person, as the rooms lack work space, but for a few days, it is quite a refreshing place.
This place is a little dream in the craziness that is Manila. Old world little b&b with an amazing, helpful staff. The room was small but perfectly appointed with a small balcony overlooking the street. Great art and furnishings around the lobby. Also with some amazing restaurants within close walking distance.
I have stayed at La Casita many times...it's a very charming bed and breakfast with wonderful staff...unfortunately my stay this time was disturbed by all the construction noise from across the street, where a new building is going up. The streets are narrow so the noise was very loud. Usually the noise is from 7am or 8am to about 5pm...But one night at 2am there was loud construction noise which woke me up...I even had to go outside to investigate it...Fortunately, a neighbor had called the police and they told me they were investigating the permit...after that the noisy trucks drove away...everything else about my stay was nice as usual...There are several new and trendy eateries and bars in the area...its becoming well known for its food and drink scene...
I've stayed here many times... It's always nice... Very friendly and service oriented staff... And clean comfortable rooms with good with good WiFi. Several good restaurants in the neighborhood.
This is a beautiful property with antiques and complete restoration. It’s like stepping back in time. It’s also more like a home stay with the staff there all night to let you in the door and the rooms are like bedrooms and you have to be quiet when you come in. Highly recommended for someone who’s alone and doesn’t need privacy. You might just make a new friend at the breakfast table.
The building is difficult to find, because it’s a private house, it’s a bed and breakfast. The room was incredibly small, very noisy, some construction was going on, plus above banging, after a 15 hours of airplane ride, it was impossible to sleep. So we checked out the same day, found another hotel. They offered to refund 3 days out of the 6. Big deal. I see it’s a 4.5 I don’t understand. Maximum a 1. It really is a nightmare. But everybody is different, maybe people out there who like to live in a 3x5 meter room. Dining area with 1 table, and with construction noise outside their window.
The staff made my stay so comfortable. They were always available and so helpful! The La Castita reminds me of Our home growing up. It's almost like my family and friends we're there as well. It's a homage of what a classic chic Filipino homes is. John did our country a tribute for showcasing a warm hospitable filipino home for visitors and family alike. Well done. Salamat
This is bed-and-breakfast at its finest - without it being overly overpriced! (Pun intended.) The house is tastefully designed and artfully decorated, and the staff are amazing! Special thanks to Jena and Sol! And regards to Sam! (Yes, ask about him when you get there.) :)
its close to burgos st.and power plant mall and rock well center.easy to access.
