The Udaya Resorts and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"A Peaceful Ubud Retreat with Exceptional Food and Amenities We were very happy with our stay at The Udaya Resorts and Spa. The resort is located in a quiet and peaceful area, about 10 minutes or so by car from the main part of Ubud. While it is a little away from the centre, we actually enjoyed being away from the crowds and found it a relaxing place to stay. For a four-star property, we were particularly impressed with the room amenities and the quality of the food. In fact, we found the overall experience here even better than some of the five-star properties we stayed at during our trip, including Sudamala in Sanur. I would definitely recommend The Udaya Resorts and Spa to travellers looking for a more peaceful and less busy Ubud experience, while still being within easy driving distance of the main attractions and town centre. A very enjoyable stay overall."
Alaya Resort Ubud
10/10 Excellent
"This property is the most beautiful i have ever stayed at from the rice fields, to the beautiful swimming pools and the grounds in general The staff couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel like a valued guest from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. The balcony was large and comfortable with lovely views over the rice field The hotels location was great for exploring Ubud and walking to monkey forest The breakfast was good but not perfect. Its partially alacarte where you order your cooked breakfast from a menu. On the first day mine was cold on arrival. I did mention this to the staff who replaced the meal straight away. After that my food always arrived on a hot plate"
Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana
10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and welcome. We booked tanah gajah for our honeymoon and wish we had stayed for longer than 4 nights! The hotel has so much to offer - a tethered hot air balloon (worth every penny), professional photographer, rice field paddy tour and kedac dance nights. The staff were all brilliant and we slept amazingly well. We would definitely recommend the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Ubud."
Maya Ubud Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Singapore, Singapore 112 Our peaceful haven above the Ubud crowds Review of Maya Ubud Resort & Spa Reviewed 1 week ago I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Maya Ubud in August 2026. The hotel grounds are stunning — extensive, beautifully maintained, and nestled deep in nature. It's a joy to relax by the pool while taking in the steep, tree-covered cliffs that plunge into the river gorge below. The breezes are wonderfully cool and fresh, never chilly, thanks to the warm sun. Service was impeccable — attentive, kind, and genuinely enthusiastic. All the staff were wonderful, especially Sumi and Dewi, who went above and beyond. The Mat Pilates class was excellent too. Ubud itself was quite crowded during our visit, which made us appreciate the hotel's own offerings even more — two pools, three restaurants (the Western food was particularly good), and cultural dance performances every single night. We left feeling completely refreshed."
The Lokha Ubud Resort, Villas & SPA
8/10 Good
"Great hotel in the Ubud jungle. Staff very very friendly. Bungalow set up was spacious. Only concern was a few mosquitos managed to squeeze into the rooms at night."
