"Just know that the futons are only about 10cm deep so not super comfy if used to sleeping on a bed. Room was clean but the carpet on the hallway to the bathroom was really stained.
The staff was super kind. Convenient to walk around the little town and the mausoleum."
"We enjoyed our stay at the temple. We booked a superior room with the futon which I now know means sleeping on the floor. I would recommend getting a bed for those with aches and pains because it’s very uncomfortable on the floor - you will not get good sleep. The temple itself is very beautiful. The service is the morning was fun and I am glad we participated. We did the cemetery walk ourselves - a tour was not offered to us which it was apparently offered to other guests. The cemetery is stunning and we really enjoyed it at day and night. The food was meh…. Luckily there is a cafe across the street. Overall I recommend for one night"
"Great experience. Location is great. Quiet and warm atmosphere. Dinner was well prepared. You have to sit down on tatami for dinner, but low chairs available. After meals, we were invited to the meditation. Morning service at 6:30 was a great way to start the day. Very nice atmosphere and it is run well. I do highly recommend."
"My husband and I stayed one night and we had an amazing time. The onsen was spacious, clean, very comfortable, a beautiful scenery of nature. It was an absolute delight. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, cozy, very cute and we'll equipped. The dinner was the best meal we have had in Japan. Absolutely delicious! There was so much work into every bite, great flavor, beautiful presentation, amazing attention from the staff. We absolutely enjoyed our stay, the onsen, the dinner, everything. Simply perfect!"
