Nice hotel

Nice hotel in central Manado, with friendly managemant. Had big problem because Expedia did not pay the bill. The hotel could not arrange it. I had to do a lot of correspondence and the responses from expedia came very slow. Hotel was ok, Expedis a nightmare.

Handy location, clean and comfortable

For a budget hotel it was absolutely fine. Quite new still so not grotty. We were at end of corridor but others on floor were very noisy at all hours and sound travelled well! Basic but nice breakfast. Indonesian food and bread/toast with spreads.

Top Hotel; cheap and "top".

I find my 2 nights stay at Top Hotel a rather pleasant experience. Although the room was quite small, the interior was an eye candy. Parquet flooring and a large cosy bed added on to the delightful experience. Plus points about this hotel; + conveniently located near Pasar 45 (city centre), + has a 24 hour mart in the ground level which sells basic necessities at affordable prices, + hot and cold shower, + breakfast had variety and up to quality standard, + high speed Wi-Fi. Negative aspects; - although we didn't spend much time in the room, the view outside, overlooking the neighborhood, wasn't too ideal. - the staff couldn't extend our stay by another 2 days, although they have their valid reasons. On the whole, I can summarize that the positive experience overwhelmed the negative ones tremendously. And never did I expect Top Hotel to make my getaway a pleasing one. A great thumbs for a cheap and up to par hotel.

Not quite good enough.

Checking in to the hotel was easy and sufficient. But my room was dirty- covered with black hair, on the floor and in the bed under blanket. Change of rooms and no more hair in the bed as staff member stood next to me and supervised that I checked the bed. Unfortunately there was more hair on the floor and the surfaces had not been cleaned properly presenting old coffee stains. The hotel is situated within walking distance to Manados sea front and shopping malls. Breakfast buffet is merely disappointing - cold fried rice and noodles and weak coffee. Wireless connection is weak in the rooms. Staff lacks good English speaking skills and necessary knowledge of information about Manado.
