Nakelo Treasure Island Resort & Spa

"Stunningly beautiful island! Fabulous that it is owned and run by Fijians. Bure’s were well scattered around the small Island, cleverly facing towards the sea giving the illusion of privacy. The construction of them however could do with a little more thought and insulation as the ‘duplex’ ones you can hear your neighbour whisper. Despite the year-round prevalence of mosquitoes there was zero insect netting on any door or window. The windows comprised of wooden louvres with gaps as big as several cm in places. Much repellent was utilised. Food was basic but delicious, not an enormous variety. The islands main supply boat capsized a few weeks or so before we arrived, getting adequate produce and other goods out to the island was restricted to a boat 1/4 the size of the original. There was a small amount of watercraft available for use- first in first served. Several kayaks/ stand up paddle boards and a catamaran sailboat. Some snorkeling equipment and they helped me get in touch with a dive company that picked me up from the beach. There is a turtle sanctuary on the island where they raise the babies from hatching and release them into the ocean at a year old when they are much more capable of survival. Such a beautiful learning institution. There is also a couple of crested iguanas in an aviary where you can feed them. Definitely recommend as part of island hopping or a day trip."

"Great property for a family holiday, beautiful surroundings, the only drawback was the food in goji restaurant which was pretty poor standard for dinner, breakfast was good"

"Beautiful island, property would benefit from a bit of TLC, concrete paths uneven, many garden lights without covers, however this did not in any way spoil our holiday, great swimming pool and beautiful reef. Staff were so wonderful. Will return"

"Great for kids. Wonderful friendly staff. Don’t bother eating at the buffet at the Copra - very expensive and not value for money although it looks like the cheaper option. Better to eat at Tavolo which has table service and you get what you pay for, or if celebrating, Black Coral. A folder of information about the resort and prices in the room would have been helpful. That way we might have worked out sooner not to eat at the Copra."

Serenity Island Resort

"We arrived with a boat load of day trippers from a nearby cruise ship. Not a serenity vibe. The cooking demo was excellent making Kondova - delicious Unfortunately very few sun beds under the cabanas. Some staff need a little more training. Our appetizer came before our wine & when the main course arrived before we sent it back. Also limited knowledge on a classic martini. We had a very pleasant stroll around the island and lunched at the glamping site, which was also somewhat taken over by cruise ship guests. Swimming & snorkeling off the beach’s or outside your room was lovely"
