Hotel Saranac Curio Collection By Hilton

Hotel Saranac Curio Collection By Hilton

8/10 Good
"Hotel Saranac is a first class beautiful Historic gem hidden in the Adirondacks. Check-in was easy, girl at the front desk was lovely and kind, room was charming. Unfortunately, the chemical smell as you entered was overwhelming. I imagined it equaled 100 glade plug ins. At first I thought it was a chemical cleaning supply in the bucket the staff was mopping with, but it was an industrial scent diffuser that unleashed a barrage of "pine" scent that was so overwhelming I instantly got a headache. Later, I called and asked to have it unplugged and the man said No, he would not because no other customer had complained. He also stated that the chemicals were "natural" which is certainly not true. They are a patented chemical concoction that poisons people's endocrine systems. I certainly believe that high end people coming to an Adirondack historical hotel want some real pine tree branches and fresh air, not industrial chemicals."

Mountain Lake Inn

8/10 Good
"The hotel was perfectly located (next to Casa del Sol) and in walking distance to Mountain Mist. The breakfast was a complete rounded selection between healthy and yummy. In our room we had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There’s an indoor pool with an outdoor patio. About 1/2 mile away is an Aldi and a dollar store. Great for families making their own meals. We went to LaBella’s and Casa; both winners. I will be back. Love Saranac Lake and this hotel."
