Good location. Room condition is OK.
Good location to the central of activities such as night market, good local foods, place of interest. Room condition is good.
The rooms and overall is well maintained. Love the vintage decor. Cleanliness is superb! We booked the small room, it’s very small but we still had a very comfortable stay. If you want a bigger room, recommend to book their suite, just pay slightly more. Owner is friendly and helpful. The hotel location is ideal, it’s walking distance to a lot of tourists attractions. We didn’t need to use our car for 2 days.
location is not bad if you like the crowd, as its just off the jonker night market. its clean, but no windows makes it a bit claustrophobic. The walls are thin and so is the floor as you can hear every movement from above.
Clean, cozy guesthouse located on a side street steps from popular Jonker Street. The owner, Mrs. Ang, was helpful, highlighting her recommendations for dining and cafes. We didn’t spend much time at the room, but the bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Of note, the bathroom is a wet bathroom — common in Asia — so I’d recommend bringing flip flops or drying the floor with towels after a shower. Additionally, as there are no front desk hours, to enter the house, we had to open the padlock on the security gate, which is a slight inconvenience, but not a problem. There are three charming cafes immediately next to the guesthouse if you’d prefer to avoid the crowds on Jonker street. For peace of mind, if there are any issues, Mrs. Ang has a shop around the corner on Jonker Street.
Mrs Ang is very helpful to assist me with my queries before our arrival and made necessary arrangment.
Very happy with room condition. Only problem is the steps of the starcase is big so rather scary when climbing up and down. Should have made normal steps when renovating the house. Plus point is there is a common area with aircon and large screen flat screen tv to watch. Also have sound system.
Is not tally to what we had booked, we asked for twin double bed, even check online is twin double bed for Asian suite, when you check in with family of 4, confirmed yo fill like cheated. location wise is too near to Muslim mosque, @0530am, they is a morning call with loudspeaker..............
Great Location at Jonker Street. Very Friendly Host. 2 Cafe beside. The main issue is with the noise from other customer living upstairs. Not sure how to solve this issues but overall, i like this place. Price over the weekend maybe a bit too expensive compare to other home-stay. If the bed is able to be configure to allow single bed or double bed choice will be good option.
The owner was extremely nice. This is a small hotel of just a few rooms. It is perfectly located within walking distance to everything. I would 100% go back to this hotel.
Great service, small but cosy, clean and extremely convenient as it is only few metres to Jonker. They would respect privacy and leave a top up of water, etc neatly on a tray outside each room. As there is no front desk, remember to notify them in advance or call them upon arrival. Only takes them 5mins to meet you outside Lekiu House.
Nice guesthouse very near to Jonker walking street
Room is clean. The house is very close to Jonker street. When you arrived there you need to confirm the time you will be at the guesthouse otherwise you will be like me searching for a house owner who sell stuff at her shop in Jonker street. The guesthouse will be locked all the time and you will be given the key when you check in with her.
For the price paid, i expected 'hotel' facilities. Basically just a lodging. Price could be due to the high season (chinese new year). Clean place, room was spacious but spoilt by noisy room next door. Wooden timber flooring which is great but any running around by kids and u can feel the vibration.
Location is great, just 5 min walking distance to Jonker street. Guests should be told to be not noisy at late night!
We stayed one night at the chinese suite and it was quite a special room. The bathroom was unique which is what I love. The owner was very nice and friendly and gave us some free snacks. Even the slippers were unique. Best of all is how close the location is to jonker street. Overall a really nice experience. We did not hear any noise from the mosque nearby but maybe because we had a good night sleep.
